It is cheap, however it is a good idea to have a battery tester in your kit. It has three good ranges in that feature set and since batteries in automotive style can do some real corrosive damage to test leads, I'd say buy the sz301, run the default test leads, if it wears out just replace the whole lot.

I got my hands on a SZ302, backlight auto turn off after 30 seconds. Sigh...

I have a backlight one. I think mine is harder to read, it do pickup glare and can't see digits in certain angle . This one looks readable

Sounds like a plan!

Just another kind of dirt cheap "DT630" DMM. But with more rugged housing and even a rubber cover. It gets it´s job done. I wouldn´t recommend to use it in the claimed CAT III enviroment, but for CAT II and CAT I it is completly sufficient. And at the pricepoint at 8,- US$ it is even not raising any worries in sacricial mode. Slava Ukraini!

Must be like 200 different (exaggeration) meters/brands in this same case and not much different in most cases with a few exceptions - but for $9.00 US how much can you ask for, worth that much as a audio/visual continuity tester--lol
