Anybody who follows heavyweight boxing and has watched both Miller and Ruiz compeat will tell you that Miller (stylistically) was definitely the much tougher opponent for AJ, reason being - Aj has questionable stamina and Miller is the fittest heavyweight in the division with the highest work rate (200 punches per round) despite being over 300lbs which means that Joshua would not be able to push him back, Ruiz is an incredibly short heavyweight who has fast hands but fights in spurts and has not got a great work rate. routine defence for AJ, Miller might of asked some questions of AJ.

I've worked out on traditional heavy bags kzread.infoUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.

@@HolyRollerTV Wrong. Ruiz actually has better stamina than AJ, more muscles use up more oxygen quicker which means you gas out quicker. Ruiz' problem will be his shorter arms and huge reach disadvantage, so AJ will be trying to counter him on his way inside to land his shots but like i said Ruiz does have serious hand speed and Joshua's head movement is not the best so Ruiz will have success but he'll also take shots on his way in and the question is how much can he take? My guess is no more than 7 rounds worth

Negan In what world does AJ not have a good chin? In HW anyone can be stopped, but he got up from a clean power punch from Mr steel hammer. That's no easy feat. Most boxers aren't getting up from that, never mind surviving the round and then winning the fight. He got his nose smashed by Povetkin who has a 70% KO rate and didn't go down, he got stunned by Whyte who has a 70% KO rate and didn't go down. Not saying he has a granite chin, but it's a strong chin.

I’m so proud of Ruiz, Team and his Family. Not a big surprise cause I’ve seen a lot of Ruiz’s fight, Parker (my favorite) would have been knocked out too if it wasn’t for his speed and chin. Can’t wait for the rematch!!

Rocky Marciano used to train with a 300lbs punching bag. Punching a heavy bag develops upper body strength and knock out power. I used to box.

No body rocks like this man when he falls in is groove and into his rythym Andy Ruiz is by far my favorite heavy weight boxer of all time and favorite to watch fight can’t wait to see him compete again the dudes a real animal and his style is the most entertaining and technical by far in the weight division in my opinion

I just wanna know. When boxers tap on the bag with soft straights at a consistent rate, are they just conditioning or does it actually help their boxing? I would appreciate an explanation. Thx

You're totally right. Joseph Parker only got AJ in the body a couple times as well but AJ buckled a couple times from him to. And Ruiz has much better timing with his body shots. He landed some beautiful body combos against Parker and Dimitrenko.

After Saturday, I think this guy can beat wilder. His style doesn’t mesh with tall long arm guys.

I don't think so. I think Ruiz is a great boxer with a very unique style, but I don't think he should've beaten a Joshua who stuck to his game plan. The way the first knockdown came about is how Joshua should've fought for twelve rounds, but for some reason he started going on the inside. Wilder fights at distance and breaks guards. He never goes on the inside. He's tall and has a pouncing style. He'd keep Ruiz at bay, win with the jab and see if he can land the right. That's what AJ should've done. I think if anything he's got a better chance against Fury, because Fury doesn't actually keep his distance all that well, he's more a midrange in-your-face kind of fighter. He's very hard to hit of course, but at mid range, so is Ruiz, and they both have good hand speed. It would be Ruiz' kind of fight, only Fury is bigger. I'd still bet on Fury, but I think Wilder handles him easily.

Peter Saarloos wilder has no inside game, none, zero, zilch. That’s why he looks like a windmill when he throws his hooks. All Ruiz has to do is slip wilders bread and butter shot which is his straight right and land his check hooks. Wilder gets wobbled and it’s Ruiz just has to go full throttle.

@@beastfromtheeast9318 Well, we'll see, but Wilder doesn't really need inside game. He needs to clinch whenever Ruiz gets close, which is precisely what AJ should've done. Even if Ruiz were a bad boxer, why fight a short heavyweight close when you're the taller fighter? Only if Ruiz manages to go full Frazier on him can he win, but I don't see it happening. Ruiz has excellent inside game and fast hands, but I haven't seen him do the kind of head movement Frazier was capable of.

I wish this guy all the luck in the World has being Heavyweight Champion. I hope he Retains it for a good while .
