@@cmcc3721 Fair enough. The OP definitely over-egged the pudding by saying it was 'fairytale'. and all that. He may have been overlooked by other clubs but he had still spent time in the prem doing his thing for Hull . Not like he was signed from non-league. As far as name-value in the public sphere I'd call him an unknown in that sense only. Undoubtedly eyebrows were raised when LFC signed him but I'm very happy we did.

If there was a trophy for getting under the opposition's skin then Robbo would win it every year. Surprisingly clean player on the pitch in footballing terms. He does just enough to upset another player's rhythm without getting himself sent off. He knows what he does gets results and Klopp probably encourages him to do it. Great guy to have in your team.

@@asianwarrior2193 Not really. Not got the talent Irwin had. Same level as Evra. He's a solid 7-8/10 every game. Up and down, diligent defensively, good crosser he's a managers dream. But not a better player than Cancelo or TAA, or a better athlete than Walker or Davies. Chilwell is better but he's not in Klopps super Liverpool team. He hasn't got elite pace and 1v1 against elite he would struggle, but is covered by the fact Liverpool were a high pressing team and VVD behind him. Watch, if Liverpool go through transition he will look like another modern LB.

Virgil is like the sensible other half who keeps Robertson in check but secretly encourages his shithousery behaviour for his own entertainment 😎
