When the film ended, I cried, not only because of what happened to the characters, but because I was reminded of how my big brother died last 2014. He had respiratory problems, and the night they took him to the hospital was the last time I saw him alive. I didn't get to say goodbye to him, he died the very next day. If I could, I would hug him and never let go😭

Five Feet Apart, Me Before You, and Love, Rosie so far were the movies I've bawled on. My standards on love elevated so high by watching them. I never thought love can cause so much impact to someone, not even death or sickness can stop them from having each other. So magical and wonderful and sad at the same time, that some people were just meant to meet, but never meant to last. But the good thing is, it still happened. Despite of where it went, it happened.

I have CF. I was diagnosed before birth and I quickly learned everything I needed to know about CF and I can take care of myself. I am healthy for someone who has CF, but to anyone else suffering from the disease, I hope it gets better. I hope you live long lives. What annoys me is that everyone gives me extra attention when I don't need it and no attention when I need it. Like, my friend is always saying "What if you die?" Like, do you think randomly asking me that makes it any better? I have ZERO worries about dying and I'd rather *not* start worrying because you can't handle having a friend with CF. That friend ALSO said, and I quote, "I almost stopped being friends with you because if you died, it'd be so much harder on me." ... You'd want me to die alone? Sometimes I feel like I'm the one who doesn't give up on her.

I'm here because I miss you. This song was ours and this movie was the first movie I watched with you. We used to listen to this song together at night. I said I wouldn't give up but I did and you already had your heart somewhere way more than five feet apart from me. I couldn't fight for you anymore but my heart never turned black and blue and it won't. Even when we were thousands of kilometers apart and you lived across the ocean you were the most genuine person I met. From Palestine to Tunisia..

After 3 years I've managed to listen to this song voluntarily. My little brother passed away from SADS, only 3 months after turning 18 and I chose this as one of his three funeral songs. Purely because 5 feet apart was one of his favorites. The internet is a big place and if I can give a hug to anyone that relates this song to a loved one .... My god I'm here 💔❤️

I remember when Will said he keeps thinking about his last breath, that he’d be gasping for air. But when he almost lost his life trying to save Stella, he gave her his last breath 😭😭😭😭😭❤️

Only watched this last weekend. Gee Whizz, I'm 61 and the tears just streamed down my face. Such a story, such a sad story, but what this shows is the other side of CF and how the people cope, the best they can. I bought the CD just to get the song "Don't Give Up On Me" Such a perfect song for a perfect movie.

Watched this movie last year and really lived it .... here i am hearing this song over and over again I'm touched fr Love it

I lost my older brother Rob to CF in 2003 he had cepacia. I grew up watching him struggle to breathe every day. Most of my childhood was running the halls of Egelston Children's hospital in Atlanta with him. Dr. Dan Kaplan was a wonderful man and when we lost Rob at 24 Dr. Kaplan and the nurses attended his funeral. That meant the world to our family. It took me some time to watch this movie but I did and it brought Soo many memories back of my brother having to be separated from his other CF friends. This movie should've won Oscars. All of the CF brothers and sisters of Rob's are gone but I'm glad there has been advancement to help find a cure. Great song for a great movie.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I lost my cousin, Michael Boh, whom the Oschner Michael R. Boh Center for Child Development in New Orleans was named for after his lengthy life of 21 years, considering his condition. One of the main focuses of the center is helping children with CF so I'm very grateful that this movie is bringing awareness to CF.

I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 4.(I'm 15 now.) You really do begin to become your own doctor by 8. It gets hard sometimes with all the hospital stays and procedures etc. Five feet Apart was an amazing and inspirational movie. About almost a year ago I was close to needing a transplant and was scared out of my mind. Luckily, my lung function has improved and I've gained weight because I was skinny..and overall not too healthy. (thank you everyone for taking the time to read this and your kind comments! it means a lot to me💕)

Its sad when you think about how much Will love Stella. Remember when Will try to save Stella by mouth to mouth and in that moment i was reading the book. I saw all of Will emotions it was saying the he will give her everything even his last breath of life to save the love of his life

This movie makes me cry everytime I watch it. Its perfect. :(

My sister has cystic fibrosis and she was put in the emergency transplant list so we are all just waiting for the lungs to arrive but it a very stressful wait 😭❤️we flew to visit her Monday and came back today and it was so hard leaving her behind 😭

Hi just an update she passed away December 10th 2019 l...it was due to organ failure...lungs arrived a few days before she passed but they were too small and everything else was perfect just not the size and a few days later she passed away at the age of 19 in a few days she would have been 20

This song makes me hopeful that one person can try hard enough for the both of them. It's incredibly lonely when you're the one loving, fighting, and trying harder--or at all.

This movie is really awesome .....it isn't important that every love story ends with being together always.....the way they wanted to fight against CF ...... breaking the rules.....5 feet aparts.....when she wasn't able to hug her best friend and her sister whom she wanted to be at that time but wasn't able to ...... persuade her to get surgery......in the end when he made her see stars......it a really good movie to change your prospective about life ❤️❤️
