​@@DiscoDrewbringing buses back under local council control. Used to be a fiver to go into Manchester from where I live now it's £2 or £5 for full day ticket. That alone makes a difference. Without a city mayor tgat wouldn't have happened. Nor if we'd had a Tory mayor.

Go on Andy! as a regular patron of Manchester's public transport system it's the envy of the north. Metrolink and publicly owned busses! the most profitable network in England and the money goes straight back into public services rather than lining executive and shareholder pockets. All of this whilst keeping fares low and services frequent.

Boring isn't always good, Joe Biden is boring and we may see the results in November. Trump a nightmare for the world may win. Alex Douglas Home, was boring and a failure. Ditto Halold Macmillian, Mitch Mcconnell, Ed Miliband.

When are they going to build affordable homes for the younger generation? Apartments in the city that aren’t actually owned by wealthy Chinese businessmen or Russian oligarchs? Instead our youth have no chance in hell of ever owning property and slaves to rent.
