Great to see you and to hear your voice, Andy. Wow, what a career you have had! But... I remember you as a bass player!

This guy rubbed shoulders with all the great studio session men of the times (Bo pee, Sky juice, Gladdy, Flabba and the rest) and really has an insider's view of studio forages of that era and beyond. Much Respect to him..!!!

And there's sort of an eloquence and clarity in the way he answers questions that make the interview really interesting, not some interviewee who would provide half baked, erratic responses. And yes..great credit to the interviewer too. Bless..!!!

@@lawrencenjawe1935 Right...some people are naturally good story tellers and can really hold their audience...Andy has this quality and it helped that the interviewer asked intelligent questions also...wasn't a fake talk show interview

This gentleman is a wealth of knowledge and a great story teller. First time I saw him was his days with the Sagittarius Band backing Yellowman in Santa Cruz in 1989/90. After the show, he was lingering around outside of the front entrance and I was able to approach him and ask a few questions about Soca guitar. Very generous with his time. It wasn't until running into him on Facebook that I learned his name. But I could recognize him in every video that I have seen him in. Cool guy. Very knowledgeable and approachable. Big ups Andy.
I always wondered who this dude was/is great inner view very interesting.

Good for the kids to know today and even the adults who thought it was all spliff and nothing else, a lot goes into music production and the craft in general. Keep doing what you're doing! More Mutabaruka!

Great interview. I never knew the height of the sealing made a difference.
I've come across this name in many publications but what a shock I'm having right now just watching this interview. You don't need much brainstorming to guess why!!! Ha ha ha ha!!!
I knew the man from before but only by reading his credits . Interesting guy , down to earth , and good storyteller ! Saw him play live different times , but never knew it was Andy Bassford . Also worth mentioning is a US guitar player , called Brian Silverman . Played with differentt reggae acts and recorded with them

Yeah...Brian Silverman I've come across the name several times before. Can't remember exactly, but I think he played with Michael Prophet, the Gladiators, Steel Pulse. Not sure, but I'll check it out.
