Na that makes me cry

My grandpa was one of 6 kids who were born and raised in southwestern NC in the '20s-'30s. Somewhere we've got an old picture of the old house they grew up in, and the Darlings' house used here looks just like it ❤

WOW! They were amazing musicians. Bluegrass is hard to master. They could really jam out on that music. I love it!

What is the name of this song

It's such an absolute trip to consider how we watched these shows in super poor quality like this and still loved them. That's just how awesome these shows really are! I saw an old, original Spider-Man TOS from 67 that had this really shitty quality and still loved it! Same goes for an old, (un)remastered Star trek TOS I saw. Incredibly talented people are what truly made these shows great!

The resolution was low and the shows were in black and white, but the quality on the television screens was nowhere as bad as the quality of this particular video.

Now that's good music.

I'm almost 78 (years old, not RPM). I never watched the Andy Griffith Show. This is all new to me and it's almost 60 years old! The "Darlings" are fantastic!

Remember Barney didn't appear in the Darling's first episode they appeared so this is Barney Fife's first meeting with the Darlings.

The Darlings, also known as the Dillards, were an excellent bluegrass band. 🪕

This was shot for the 1963 season... you can always tell the year by what year Andy's patrol car is.. 😏

It don't get better than The Darlings! 🎶 Brisco can sure play that jug....😁

In syndication they usually cut most of this off. It begins right when the car pulls up to the house.

She was probably just infatuated with him because of his age related maturity and power as a sheriff (and justice of the peace). Having said that, I would agree that being more truly southern and a damn sight more pleasant and exciting to be around than Helen Dump made her a far better character for Ange's wife. Same holds true for Joanna Moore's character Peggy. The worse Gf he had was Eleanor Donahue's "Elle". That Woman could never play a good gf to anyone in any show.

I once knew a couple with the last name of Bass. When she got pregnant, people joked that if it was a boy, they should name him Ernest T.
