My daughter's 17 year old friend once spent 3 weeks in langata prison after they were chased by police heading to the bus stop from a cinema, the others ran away n the friend decided not to run as they hadn't done anything wrong. She was advised in the cells not to speak up for herself to the majistrate cause she might end up in remand so she was fined or one month's imprisonment, by good luck on of the warders recognised the girl's home area and sent a message to her family but she had already suffered for 3 weeks.
