The Guitarmory
Stone Age Guitar Picks
Andromida is a one man progressive metalcore project by composer and producer, Ramon Gutierrez.
Diagnosed as legally blind at a young age, Ramon naturally felt a strong connection with music. At the age of 3, he began learning the violin. While learning the violin, it quickly became apparent that he was unable to read sheet music provided by his teachers, but that didn’t stop him. He went on to learn the instrument by ear, eventually playing pieces well known composers at a very young age. At the age of 11, Ramon decided to take on the guitar. Just like the violin, he learned completely by ear, only this time he did not have any help from teachers.
Ramon is entirely self-taught on guitar. Eventually he became fascinated with the idea of writing and producing music, so he began teaching himself how to arrange songs, produce, and mix and master his own music in his late high school years. During his time in college, Ramon began taking steps to start pursuing music.
After trying and failing several times to form a band, he eventually decided to take on the endeavor by himself, thus starting Andromida in 2016.

    Holy fuck, in the drowning sea of near limitless supply of music artists on KZread, your album rises above the rest as a magnificent piece of art. With something new and unknown to listen to just a click away, it's become seldom to listen through an entire Album. Yet i've listened to this from start to finish. No distractions, just lying down headphones turned up and immersing in the experience you've conjured up all by yourself. Please continue making music, i'm sure in the near future you'll outgrow many of the competing artists of this genre. You are amazing!

  • @mitsanut5869

    @mitsanut5869

    3 жыл бұрын

    Not trying to insult you bit respectfully disagree. This is actually very dated. The sound and everything else. Chord progressions, djent sound, highly technical but without compositional skills. The problem with today's highly technical prog or whatever it's being called (because labeling it is totally irrelevant) is that fingering etude exercises that should serve as a step to master techniques in case those techniques are needed in perfecting a compositions. The etudial skills techniques should never be elevated above compositional skills and architecture. That's something too many modern musicians simply do not understand and the listeners are sadly just as clueless if not worse. So to counter you "timeless" nonsense, this and other albums like this that are indistinguishable one from another will be forgotten as soon as new hot thing will arrive on the scene. The synth sounds are just as generic and without any personality to it. Colorless. While I admire anyone who does play any instrument, it's getting increasingly difficult to find any project that would differ from others in any aspect. Skillful? Absolutely. Timeless? 100% doubtful

  • @sarcasm4371

    @@mitsanut5869 As long as people enjoy music, they will return to it. It doesn't really matter how dated it is, if it's done better or to a way they like, it will be timeless for them. Music is subjective for a reason, you didn't really need to write an essay about the theory of writing the music, what matters is how it sounds when it comes together. What the music means to the person listening to it. "The etudial skills techniques should never be elevated above compositional skills and architecture. That's something too many modern musicians simply do not understand and the listeners are sadly just as clueless if not worse." This statement is really fucking pointless on something as subjective as music, compositional skills and architecture do not make a song sound good. The song sounding enjoyable and pleasant makes it good. You aren't clueless for liking something that sounds great to you, how pretentious is that shit. You do not need to understand the workings of a song to tell if it's a great song or not, it just helps you appreciate it even more. It's sad I have to write this at all.

    First off; God tier album! Im on my 2nd repeat and not even close to being sick of it lol. Would you consider moving your content to Audius? I freaking hate KZread and would love to passively support your content by listening to it there exclusively if possible!
