I really like Kevin Sorbo, he seems like just a great guy to work with all day then go grab a beer with afterwards.

Two shows, 7 years and 5 years. That's a hell of a run for a professional actor. Especially now where shows are only ordered in 8/10/13 episode orders and maybe get a second season.

This is the side of Kevin Sorbo that I can respect. Watching this, you'd never realize that he's an evangelical fundamentalist that carries water for creationism. I liked both of his major shows (Andromeda and Hercules), but I hate that he subscribes to a demonstrably false form of religious extremism.

Is it true that Sorbo pull out first scenarist of Andromeda, btcause Sorbo wanted to make main acent of the show on Dylan Hunt?

It's a shame Sorbo burned so many bridges doing his shows because he really is a likeable actor on screen. I love both shows and wish he was still on a regular series.

Not a jerk? Fair to everyone's opinion? Hardly, Sorbo is a fundamentalist christian with very bigoted views and he doesn't mind sharing those views and then claiming he should be allowed to share those views because it's apparently denying him his "religious freedom" if he's criticized for those views.

I honestly have no idea how Andromeda survived 5 series and 110 episodes. It truly was a train-wreck of a tv show. I think its fair to say that Gene Roddenberry's only real success, true success, was Star Trek!

How on earth did you come to that conclusion? I was simply expressing my opinion that Andromeda was a train wreck of a show. Gene's only success was Star Trek, out of all the idea's he came up with, only one of them took off!

Actually the idea was pretty good... that's how it is with all the shows by Gene Roddenberry that were made after his death, they are good in the beginning, but then they run out of material from Roddenberry and they get a bunch of writers to compensate, but they all have different ideas and it ends up being a mess. But if you just watch the beginning it is pretty good.

it really takes a healthy personality and a first-rate intellect to appreciate the show most! there was a lot of subtlety and sophisticated humor that only appeals to particularly bright minds! it is not intended to be intellectually rigorous (of course) but its humor appeals to a more educated mind as it reflects cogent writing and competent actors. *it is a wonderful show!*

FYI, ST:TOS was considered a failure as a tv show until the movies made because of fans. Then ST:TNG was supposed to fail as well as a tv show but surprisingly did very well. So that being said, Andromeda getting 5 seasons is considered a success in the business... regardless of your opinion. BTW, I'm a sci-fi and fantasy true fan. I look at the show not based on special effects which can be hard when you have a low budget show, but based on the core principle of the show. If Robert Hewitt didn't get fired/left, as Kevin Sorbo said, it would've been a more cohesive show. Regardless, the cast and crew did well enough for me to be entertained and appreciated all their efforts.
