most people mistake stock with Google UI. stock is not Google UI, stock is AOSP witch the ui of hasnt seen a change since Android 8

You are a bit of mistaken. I installed an Android Open Source Project (version 14, API 34) to my smartphone, and it was same as showcased in this video. I installed a version with Google Mobile Services preinstalled apps. But since 8th version of Android, they are still changing the design of Launcher

It's true but it's the launcher's functions that are why the rest of the things have changed. And the user interface obviously changed, look for the difference Between "material you" and the old one, and the original android is Google's, the rest is aosp

I honestly seriously thank Samsung for not upgrading TouchWiz on S5 marshmallow upgrade because... I just love older TouchWiz and not a fan of S6+'s touchwiz. Especially the screen unlock effect was preserved but was removed on S6 marshmallow update

Great video! You might as well show how notification tray, quick settings and the volume bar changed over the years. Seems like you were able to launch most of the systems on some hardware. Did you use an emulator for that or are these real smartphones? Asking because I was unable to find a way to install OneUI / TouchWiz onto an emulator, which would be extremely cool

Samsung the device that started my Journey of Android. I maybe have ever used Huawei even Oppo today (which is my Dad) I still remembered how hated feel, when using Samsung Touchwiz 😅. Like sluggish even some minor crash. And I agree if Stock just felt light and maybe optimised

Android 5.0 to Android 8x is probably the best in my opinion. Nowadays it felt like everything is copying iOS and it's boring. Unpopular opinion : I hate when companies copy Apple, they should go to their own unique footsteps not copying Apple's footsteps, it is important to remember Google (Android) and Apple (iOS) are still from different companies.

​@@NR20244it is still copying Apple. The removal of removable battery, SD card, headphone jack, the inclusion of ugly notch, heck even round phones are copying from Apple. They could've just use invisible camera or tiny one that doesn't add much to the top bezel (like what Sony did). Apple is the worst company ever and everyone is copying them just because teenagers like iPhones .-.

Horizontal app drawer like what old android and one ui have is terrible😂. Vertical sorted alphabetically is much faster and more organize. What makes samsung stands out is One UI's homescreen only layout( iOS-like)

only pre Nexus ones. Nexus has a difrent boot animation from stock. Galaxy Nexus replaced some stock android apps with Google versions. Nexus 5 replaced the Stock Android launcher with the Google Now Launcher. Android 5.0 update for Nexus 5 aslo replaced some stock android apps with google versions. the Pixel uses a skinned Android version just like Touchwiz on Galaxys. if you ever used Android 7.1.1 on a Nexus you know what i mean. after the drop of Nexus 6P support we didnt see a build of Android close to stock like Android 8.0.0
