What's my story? An engineer, in love with his job, started teaching on the side. Got lucky. Impacted 1000s of lives. Had to finally leave his job to increase the impact surface area. Raised $5M funding to fix education. Is learning day and day about startups and building a valuable product.
How is it going? A decade of engineering helps in systems thinking and product building. Learning about Strategy, Marketing, People Management, and Finance on the go.
What am I building? Today, 25 million Indians prepare for government job entrance exams. They do it for years together. The probability of success is less than 1% but they still do it. Why? For the lack of a structured alternative to launch their white-collar career. I am building Invact to bridge this gap.
How? Follow me to know, it's a long story. I am telling it in parts every day.

App development part 2
Things you missed for an entry level job : 1. Clean Architecture using MVVM (data, domain, presentation layers) 2. Jetpack Compose UI (Compose UI is preferred over XML) 3. Dependency Injection (Dagger Hilt) 4. SQLite (ROOM Database) 5. Retrofit (for API calls) 6. Material Design, Material 3 7. Firebase Integration >> Social Login, Cloud Messaging, Firestore, In App Notifications, Dynamic Links 8. Payment Gateway Integration 9. Kotlin Coroutines 10. State, Flows, Lived Data etc 11. Shared Preferences (For storing user details)

Agree with all except point number 2, the ratio of xml only : xml+compose : compose is 92:7:1, it's best to first master xml and then learn compose atleast upto an intermediate level, experience just in compose isn't preferred over xml, however, someone who knows both will be preferred compared to someone who knows only one

@@breezy5771Yes xml and compose both are required. I added compose ui as it wasn't mentioned in the video.

SUGGEST ME ANY ANDROID DEVLOPMENT COURSE FOR BIGNNER
As a beginner in Android development, I am really excited about this field but at the same time, want to know how can I learn more advance topics and also showcase my talents to get a satisfying job. #Need part - 2 of Android Roadmap
It's very important not to get caught up in advanced concepts like DSA, which I did, and instead focus on building something and learning along the process which teaches you practical skills, makes you employable and builds up your confidence as well. Thank you for this amazing video!

is DSA not needed for android development? please reply
@Tomharry910

@@codingwithk5725 No. You won't need DSA for android development.

Highly disagree, most important thing is dsa and cgpa, better choose c++ or java for clg placement If you are a jee student better work hard on pcb, no good college no job, simple and fundamental
@Tomharry910
Жыл бұрын
@@vikasofficial5065 What if your from a tier 3 college where you hardly have such companies visiting you. Thats the case for most of the students and if you belong to that category it makes a lot of sense to learn practical skills like web development/ app development and become employable, rather than learning DSA which you will barely ever use like Tanay said. The key here is not to miss forest for the trees.

if you have time ...like 2 years before placements, go for native ...this is going to take a while ..almost an year.. after that cross platform takes like ...2-3 months max ...but then everything depends on what you want to do as demands are there for both.

Hello Big Brother, I am really inspired by your motivation in between your videos. Your approach are really practical and eye opener. I have analysed myself being a software (production) support eng. since 10yrs that, software/web development is not my cup of tea. I have seen that, Data Analysis fascinates me. Can you please check and let us if the Data Analytics and Data Science are really the booming career or its just a Hype or just a short term movie ? Can we expect salary equivalent to Development if we master that skill at a good level ? Your point of view and suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thank You, Piyush.
