Andrey is very sweet in person. He was practicing just before the Australian Open and I was there. After he came out, the fans were taking pictures with him. I tried getting mine but there were a lot of people. The guy in front of me got a picture and as soon as that happened the security announced its enough and was ready to escort him back. Andrey saw that and then told the security that it's alright and asked me in for a picture with him. He's a really nice guy and I wish him nothing but the very best. Will always be rooting for him on and off the court ❤️❤️❤️

rublev has so many layers...he is sweet but grumpy, shy but charismatic, intelligent but not very confident, he has the most beautiful smile but always talking abt darkness ...i think he needs to integrate all that bc he is really someone ppl perceive

In the hopes that MAYBE Andrey reads this I say this. You are the reason I started to watch tennis again after losing my mother to cancer. We loved watching tournaments together and after she died, I found it too difficult to watch without her. One night I couldn't sleep, went back downstairs to watch some television and stumbled across you playing Daniil in the US Open quarter final. You lost the match but got me hooked again and I've followed you ever since so thank you Andrey, I hope I can meet you one day to thank you in person.

​​@@sampullen4195 I always believe that tennis is a game where you're very different on the court from how you are off it. Even players like Djokovic who are very sweet off court suddenly look menacing when they are playing. They are very dedicated to the game and are very focussed while playing that they sometimes let their natural reactions take over. Andrey, while playing, is very harsh on himself. He berates himself and his mistakes and he just wants to do better. I wouldn't call it a fit. That's just the way he reacts and it maybe helps him stay focussed.
