Andrew Zimmern Cooks: Cocktail Sauce

An essential condiment for steamed, poached or fried seafood, this is my recipe for the perfect cocktail sauce. I’m sticking to tradition, mixing chili sauce-not ketchup-with a healthy dose of freshly prepared horseradish and a squeeze of lemon.

Wonderful to see you again. I loved Bizarre Foods! The novelty of the concept drew me in initially, but your warmth, and genuine love for the people you got to meet from around the world is what kept me watching.

I'm more along the lines of ketchup, prepared horseradish, bottled lemon juice, and a dash of Worcestershire sauce. I think I will try the addition of a little chili powder, and skip the salt...ketchup has plenty. Not much room in my life for the hard-driving generic rock either.

Gotta wait a few minutes during the grind to let the heat rise before the vinegar stops the reaction.

Heinz chili sauce? Sorta silly to avoid bottled horseradish and then use some weird ketchup substitute.

It looks like an old bottle of Hines catsup. It is perfect to make cocktail sauce, but it can be used for other things, too.

Why would you use fresh horseradish then use high fructose corn syrup? HFCS goes in the trash in my house.

Dude peels his own horse radish but still uses store bought spicy ketchup. Every single one of these recipes uses ketchup. What about normal people who don't just have bottles of tomato sugar sitting around
