@@y.e.a.h5634 Great to know! Yeah, Yang said in one of his debates that he never considered himself "crazy enough" to join politics. He said the election of D. Trum p was like so unbelieveable that he just had to do more. He also said he thought the election of such a sociopath was like a cry for help from the American people. Ya, Bernie has been on the campaign trail and has been bringin up climate for a long while. Great thing he did gettin people to talk climate (I salute you). But in my opinion, the guy is a paid politician now and Yang don't need bribes due to his prior financial successes. I seriously think that ppl still wanting to vote for bernie don't understand Yang's superior intelligence and amazing initiatives, or litterarly feel compassion for bernie workin so long and hard to become president and think he deserves the title for that reason. Lol, this is no time to elect a super old man into the most important position on the planet basically as a sympathy vote. No one man's life or emotions are worth his slowed pace in my opinion. Again, thanks for the comment bro!

Fact, the median surface temperature has not risen in any significant amount in over one hundred years. Fact, sunspots and solar activity is never mentioned by you idiots. Fact, the only "science" you people can come up with are computer models. Laughable considering anyone can program a computer to say anything they want it to say. Fact, No one has ever used the scientific method to demonstrate and prove anything about climate change/global warming. Now you prove it. I do not have to. But I can sit here and laugh at your preposterous emotional fear that the sky is falling. Hysterical aren't we?CNN should be ashamed. That seven hour so called "Climate Town Hall" was nothing more than fear mongering at its worst. I totally get you Santtu. I was concerned about the nuclear power issue too -- especially since I grew up in the age of Chernobyl and other meltdowns. The key is that Yang says this is a TRANSITIONAL approach with much safer Thorium for the 20% power produced by current reactors. It is not natively radioactive and apparently produces less waste. It's taken a lot for me to remain open-minded, but I understand that the country is in the position of transition and that they will be RESEARCHING all options. Overall, I think Yang's proposal is among the best and most pro-active I've seen - not only avoiding carbon emissions but also counteracting it's effects and planning for keeping communities safe, prepared and adaptable.

  • @Songfugel

@@tabithamarsh3188 Thorium is 99% more safe, with practically no long life nuclear waste, it is abundant on Earth, not radioactive, doesn't require huge power plants since it doesn't require huge amounts of pressure or cooling. It was invented and suggested as the solution for clean safe energy by the same guy who made the current nuclear power technology. There was just one small problem, well two. One, it would have made fossil fuels redundant and two, you couldn't make nukes from it. So they forced the guy out from the US energy counsel, stating that "you don't know what you are talking about, and it would be best for everyone if you retire" when he tried to make them switch from the highly inefficient and dangerous nuclear tech we still use go safer, cheaper non weapons grade thorium. Most info on thorium was destroyed from public materials, even people who later studied and designed nuclear power plants, had never even heard about thorium. Not far ago, people stumpled on the lost research work, but everyone who tried to advocate for it, were again stonewalled in the US. China and India however have recently been continuing that research, and this year even started to build first thorium based power plant. It isn't using the optimal version of it, but instead a hybrid of thorium and uranium power plants to reuse the existing tech and equipment as much as possible Read up on it, it is really interesting stuff.

M K I can’t wait for the next global cooling, happened in the 70’s. We can blame that on the amazon fires that were worse during Obama. Media is corrupt right now, and the Democratic Party keeps trying to take our freedom away, renewable energy doesn’t work. It takes lots of years for a windmill to pay itself off for example. Also we barely know anything about thorium, maybe we should research it before making bold comments. And a candidate who uses facts...... hmmmm. Trump. Compassion btw, well giving people 10k a year for not doing anything, this is sounding communist. You get 10k, I get 10k, I work, you don’t. Hmmmm lol.

Dude, Andrew Yang just gets it...his plan is leaps and bounds better than any of the plans the other candidates are peddling. I could barely make it through Julian Castro's.

I like how REAL he is: he answers directly, does not patronize people, and does not self promote to answer the question, he does have answers and no hesitation about the "almighty dollar" against Americans. I've changed my mind, he is now my favorite. He genuinely cares about people and even as a die hard anti nuclear energy I learned about his idea of newer, non radioactive technology: thorium needs more research, banning all offshore oil drilling, safe drinking water, putting military budget to infrastructure. I like him! He's smart and compassionate, factual, calm and he CAN TAKE ON TRUMP!

Yang makes total sense. We must ban all off shore drilling, ban the gas burning engine, ban all meat, ban planes, ban corporate farms, and ban the military. And, don't let people set the temperature in their own homes. Yang is a winner!

WARLORD op: Totally being sarcastic. BUT, the real shame is, fools such as Yang and his gang believe this stuff. Thanks for getting the joke; fore it's the far-leftist democrats that are insane on this as you know

@@shanewhitefeather6298 A lil too extreme in my opinion. I agree we need a major and rapid shift toward more sustainable practices, but we can only get the general public to follow along to a certain extent unfortunately.

Did you not read any of his political statements or are you going to keep talking out of your ass like you know more than a CEO who has helped thousands.
