After all of the interviews I’ve watched with Andrew Scott and Simon Stephens, this is one of the best. These guys are a fantastic duo. I hope Simon has another idea with Andrew as his muse, stirring away in his head, ready to write down. ❤️❤️❤️

What Andrew Scott says around the 32 min mark is genius. I love how he played Hamlet in every scene by rejecting the knowledge of the next scenes. My english sucks but I hope the message came across :')

Holy. Speedo. Both of you there, made my brain want to get even higher on inspiration. I am definitely going to try those exercises with Hamlet before my auditions at LAMDA. Thank you so much guys 🙏🏼

Love the rapport between these 2, always. Do want to point out that while Simon thinks/says English is the only language where the public/spectators are called “audience” (from “audio”), in Spanish it’s the exact same:” AUDIENCIA, público, espectadores.” I know Andrew’s “tiny little mind” (he’s so adorable and beautiful, I just can’t handle it!) was blown when Simon said that, but this is just fyi 😉

same thing with russian, its "аудитория" (derived from the latin audio)... well, "spectators" is also used quite frecuently. Loved the interview, Andrew is so inspiring in his passion towards acting as a proper art!

That's so to hear Simon write for actors. I do that too. I always have at least one real actor in mind when I write something.

A wise, warm, playful, intelligent, open & empowering discussion on living and acting. Resonates with the morality of 道德经 Dao De Jing that discusses non-contention with others, working positively, 包容 tolerance and 普遍性 universality (Confucian principles) an inclusive approach to understanding and working with others. I forget for a short time I was in lock-down due to COVID. Thanks Andrews Scott and Simon Stephens. Joyful. Sorry I should have found some Shakespearean quotes.... All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages. (As you like it).
