Vinitieri was just a kid here. Only 39 years young.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Percy Harvin was a BEAST that year. I remember him being a mvp candidate before he got injured that's when Ap exploded. Also this the legendary rookie year when RG3 , Luck, RW3, and and even Tannehill were going off!

Just realize how special luck was, he just looked like he belonged from the get go. Look back at all the nfl Drafts since, from Wilson to wentz Mahomes Goff Dak this guy was an undeniable number one pick and was a sure thing. This is the closest I’ve seen to a forsure franchise QB in a long time

It's a crying shame what the Colts organization did to him both on and off the field with the injuries and such. Anyways this is a great video to put out there and it's nice to see a young Andrew Luck. I wish him the best in the future.

Colts fan here. Yeah, the GM at the time Ryan Grigson absolutely ruined Luck's career. Sure, Luck had some blame (holding the ball too long, trying to always make the hero play), but Grigson had a problem. That problem was not admitting his mistake. He drafted and signed terrible after terrible O-Linemen. The only good lineman he personally picked that was left on the team is Ryan Kelly, our Center. Anthony Castonzo was drafted by Polian. Irsay fucked up by not firing Grigson sooner. Luck winning some huge games in the playoffs and us getting to the AFC Championship game kept Grigson in office. Grigs should have been fired after the AFCCG, but he covered up his loss with the deflategate scandal. It's really a shame what happened to Luck, and he will always be one of my favorite all-time Colts. Fuck the 200 some fans that booed him off, they don't represent the lot of us.

Luck (just like Manning out of UT) was one of the most NFL ready QB's ever coming out of college. Listening to his cadence behind center, his patience in the pocket, you would never guess (if you didn't know) that this was his second NFL start ever. Just an absolute stud. Sad that Percy Harvin and Luck both had careers derailed by injuries, and both retired early. Harvin was like a swiss army knife on offense.
Shame on the Colts fans who booed Andrew Luck. Great Qb and great person. RESPECT

Respect to Andrew Luck. I hope and wish all the best for him. He was and is a true ambassador for the sport of football.
All Nfl fans should appreciate what Luck gave to the game. Absolute Legend with a heart of gold👍🏼
Man even though he retired in his prime because of injuries and etc. he put up some really good stats and quality starter for seven years. That's something that we can't all say. Wish the best for the Colts and Andrew Luck.
the way he rolls to his right and throws darts on the run and the way he charges defenders with no fear. He was an absolute animal on the field, what an absolute pitty. We'll miss you, Andrew!!

Christian Ponder was elite. What are you talking about?
Two one of a kind talents at quarterback fall right into the Colts’ lap and they have done nothing but successfully alienate them. A pox on Jim Irsay.
Luck was a great quarterback it's always so cool watching videos from years ago seeing what became of everyone
Man Luck had the heart of a lion. He would take linebackers head on what ever it took to win he would do it. That fumble recovery against the chiefs in the end zone was a sum it all up play. He had so much grit. Miss you Luck
I remember watching this game like it was yesterday. I never thought he’d retire so early. Thank you for every memory Andrew Luck!!
I'm gonna miss him so much. Hopefully Jacoby can turn out to be something great for us!

I think Brissett can be decent. His 2017 season was admirable given the circumstances.
I am watching this because of Percy Harvin. He had an GREAT game. I was really sad that he left the Vikings. I still like him. One of my favourite Vikings players after Moss and Peterson.
Andrew luuuck !! You'll be missed bruh !!
This was the year AP went on to rush for 2k. But then Christian ponder got hurt and they didn’t have a backup(!!!) for the playoffs so they had to play receiver/emergency QB Joe Webb, who had originally replaced Brett Favre with the Vikes two years earlier. But this time Webb and the Vikes got crushed 30-7, and worst of all it was too their arch rival Packers!

I remember this game like it was yesterday. Man, I’m gonna miss Luck. Wanted us to get at least 1 super bowl with him, but I understand. He was too beat up.
1st Colts game I ever went to. Crazy to think that was 9 years ago... never would've thought Andrew would be retired by now. That man was just different.
andrew was masterful with the cadence i jumped off sides twice watching
This just makes me sad. As a Colts fan i'm still recovering.
Much love and appreciation to Andrew Luck, however I have another thing to comment on. Thom Brennaman is excellent on commentary and I wish he was given more big games
Listening to them say the roof is open and the players running out on the field gave me chills Colts Nation football season. Need to hurry up
That first drive was magic
I'm gonna miss Andrew playing. Hopefully, his retirement is just a "see ya later". S/N: Y'all can hear a pen drop in the stadium whenever the Colts were on offense. Gotta thank Peyton for that.
Looked great from game 1
Gonna miss ya buddy!
God damn, Pat had some wheels back then. Look at him close the gap against HARVIN arguably the most explosive player
Andrew luck was seriously special
Can’t believe Colts fans booed the man who made this franchise relevant again after Manning left for Denver. If anything, you should all be booing the Colts front office for not giving him any help in front of him while he was there. The human body can only take so much and Luck was smart to retire now before any further damage was done. Enjoy your retirement, Andrew. It was an honor to watch you play.
Damn luck. So much talent
he had to replace payton manning .. he had no marvin harrison and reggie wayne in his prime ... like it or not he did a great work.. thank you andrew

1st drive in home game. a TD. if he stay health. he’ll be HOF no question!
Percy Harving was an absolute animal.
Unbelievable this kid isn’t going down in the greatest ever conversation... shame how his career went.
I really miss Luck 😢
Miss my man Luck 😔
Minnesota Vikings was member NFC Central Division 1970 through 1993 and Indianapolis Colts was member AFC East Division from 1970 through 1993 era
Pat McAfee with the hold on the Vinny FG for Luck's first VICTORY, beautiful
I’m gonna miss luck
i must say on a beautiful day lucas oil shows as good as any other stadium on tv
You got to do his comeback vs the Packers. One of the great regular season games this decade.
Everyone saying the Colts never had a OL to keep him clean: In game Luck started, Colts never finished outside the TOP10 in pressure% and clean pocket. He may just have held onto the ball too long a lot of the times, be it bad play calling or simply the receivers not getting open.
Listening to rookie qbs scream funny asl. Also after his retirement it’s hard watching him take a hit knowing every single one took a toll. L..
3:38 The absolute GOAT managing to save the day by nudging him outta bounds. Lol
Bye Andrew you did great thanks
Makes me think of Chad Pennington. Another Great Quarterback that had the worst things happen during his NFL career! Both guys had so much "guts, sand, huevos, b@ll$"!!! Gladiators that should be respected by all NFL fans!
god damnit man
If you're a defensive player during the end of the game when the offense has no timeouts and you do anything but immediately get back up and get off the player so they can spike it as fast as possible, then you should immediately get a delay-of-game penalty that also stops the clock
@JackRule16

Screw that BS play the game correctly
With Luck's retirement, Wilson's value has risen that much more. If I am not mistaken, there are no QB's who were drafted in the first three rounds ahead of him that currently have a starting job in the NFL.
The man congratulated you for hitting him/sacking him. That dude was humble

not a colts fan but i really wanted to see andrew luck win the lombardi
Every time I watch a McAfee game, I just think about him being baked during the game and probably going to town on a rack of beer after wards to celebrate
One constant I see here. Andrew luck running for his life
christian ponder really was a decent qb
Crazy how Andrew Luck retires at age 29 but Adam Vinatieri is 46 and STILL playing. In fact Vinatieri is the only active NFL player whose career started in the 90’s...
It's the quitter's first start in Indy and these Vikings uniforms were so ass so glad they updated them the season after this to their current unis.
You could see even then why he was injured a lot. His offensive line gave him very little time.

slsriflecruman87 that and Jared Allen Robison and Kevin Williams were still good players at that point

Andrew luck was literally under pressure on every single play on this. Just shows how bad the o- line was
Still can’t believe colts fans booed him, they are no better than browns, or eagles fans.
Held Peterson to 60 yards during his 2000 yard campaign
F for Andrew and for Vic Ballard.
All that poise, this calm and mastering of the game. I realize now that he truly could have been one of the Goat.
2:48 he was never touched untill he step out. That could of be Andrew luck's first td in indy
This game is a microcosm of Lucks career 💔 Excellent but coaching and Oline make it ridiculously difficult on the poor guy
