Andrew Luck nukes Cal defender on 58 yd run. Stanford v. Cal, Big Game Nov 20 2010

Спорт

Andrew Luck scrambles on 3rd down. Cal player Sean Cattouse thinks he is going to put a big hit on him but instead Luck hits him with his forearm and Cattouse falls to the ground. Luck then runs for another 25 yds before going out of bounds.
Personal impression: I was there for the game at the far end zone. I could see Cattouse gaining steam and looking to body check Luck. After the collision, I couldn't understand why Luck was still standing, let alone running. Afterwards, I saw how Luck had just tossed Cattouse to the ground and couldn't wait to see the replay at home.
Cattouse must really regret this play because of all the airtime it received during the Heisman ceremony.

In that like 3 second pause after he just mushed that Cal player, Luck solved 5 long division math problems, baked a 4 layer cake, and changed the oil in his truck before taking off again for like 20 more yards. You can't see all that in Real Time though, because he's so fast.

@16Un For sure. I'm an Oregon fan. Fairley singlehandedly won that game. Cam Newton was shut out for a long time during the middle of that game. Had Fairley not stopped LaMichael (I'm 99% sure it was Lamichael, not Kenjon) at the 1 or 2 yard line, that game would have been over.

Honestly Andrew Luck and Kellen Moore are the best QB's in the nation right now. On espn they said that Kellen Moore is the best QB in college football but that Andrew Luck is the best NFL ready college QB in the the nation. To me they are both extremely smart and accurate. Luck has the advantage when it comes to size and running compared to Kellen Moore. Coming from a BSU fan. Good luck Stanford!! I'll be rooting for you guys this year!

@16Un Agreed. I'm a huge Oregon fan. Fairley single handedly won that game. Had he not shut down LaMichael, Oregon's offense would have ran all day. But Newton was shut out for a Long time during the middle portion of that game. Made no big plays except a few passes where his receivers were wide open. He fumbled the ball, but he was called down. Threw a few picks. He was awful in that game. Auburn got bailed out by Fairley. But hey, they won it fair and square. The Ducks will be back.

@16Un I agree that Luck is a MUCH better QB, but Newton's a better runner man. And that's from an Alabama fan. The guy was a magician in getting away from the defense when the pocket collapses and his running in games like South Carolina and LSU were just unstoppable.

@rekehavoc13 . I was really impressed with his performance in the first 3 quarters. Newton could have won it but in the critical stretch he was not very accurate. Pretty much reverted back to the Cam Newton we saw in preseason. So we'll have to see which Cam ends up playing the rest of the season.

Luck has a shot at the Heisman but they take team success into account a lot. I think Trent Richardson has the best shot right now but if Stanford wins ten games he'll probably win it (and very deservedly so). Moore will go to the ceremony and watch someone else hoist the trophy.
