The BD5 is the best mouthpiece in over 60 years for me. However it was important to pick out the best one of three...unfortunately they are not all the same believe it or not. Staccato over the clarion/altissimo register is so easy and secure. All round amazing on my Buffet. My search is over!

All I hear is a pure clear tone with no undesirable sounds from the throat or elsewhere !

I think you would benefit from using device called: Classical Fingers for Clarinet

Dude. He's in the LA Phil. Just listen to him play. I get that everyone can improve but are you seriously recommending method books to a player like this?

@@joelrobertson6520 Firs of all, I'm not a "Dude"! I'm not recommending method books to this player. I am recommending one particular device! There is a huge difference between "method books" and "device" for your own knowledge! I'm not talking about where he plays or how he sounds. What stands out is how high his fingers are flying in the air - period!

How about you sharing your playing of "anything", and then I will share the recording of my playing, which is already on KZread on someone else's channel? Then we'll be able to see who is truly playing in the bedroom closet symphony!

I don’t think he needs such devices. If his fingers fly up high but he can control it with command of the instrument… so be it.
