South Australia counted aboriginals in all its' census's from the very first one in the 1860's. South Australian aboriginals, men and women, had the vote well before Federation. We have to be mindful that Ms Langton actually promised us that if the result was 'no', she would shut up and go away; Her second promise was that it would kill reconciliation. Those two promises sealed my intention to vote no.

That's the whole point of The Voice. To cement an unelected board of Marxists at the heart of Australian politics forever.

We changed our National Anthem to say we are ONE. If this referendum comes in we shall always be TWO, Indigenous and the rest. This used to be call apartheid. Our Constitution was careful not to mention race or ethnic origins, we should think very hard before we decide to allow this divisive proposition to succeed.

People only need to know Marcia has stated publicly many times that were the Voice to have NO TEETH she would NOT support it. Yet unless I am mistaken she sure seems to support the Referendum. Truth telling is just a euphemism for REPARATIONS! It's all about more free money at the expense of everyone else. Voice leads to Treaty leads to Pay the Rent and Reparations. Just ask Mayo and Pearson, two of the architects of the Voice who openly admit that those will be the next two steps.

Of which, I'm not entirely opposed to, it's just that it has to be backed up by strong evidence and the indigenous storytelling is straight up bullshit. And I'm someone who's a very keen xenophile, I'm very interested in anthropology, so I'm really their target audience. If they've lost me, they're making it up as they go.

I'm like you and want to know the truth, no matter how bad that makes the white man look. Colonialism was what the Dutch, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Germans and the Belgians did back in the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th centuries in particular, but like with everything else, the world evolves and stops many wrongdoings from the past. You could actually reason that the Chinese are currently still involved in an unofficial modern form of colonialism on the African continent.

Where's the 'division'? Most Aborigines seem completely reconciled. Particularly the city ones with high salaries, good jobs, plenty of media time. Try getting that if you live in the outer suburbs and have trouble finding a bulk billing medical practice.

There is a cost of living crisis and all he wants to do is ram this voice until the day.For someone who kept harpering on about living in a commission house and his mother who was on the pension etc How could he get this so wrong ?The way things are going we will have our own huge gap to close .

How is there less spent on healthcare for Aboriginal ppl when the healthcare is there for everyone? They're public hospitals, for everyone... The barriers are not based on race, it's based on geography, which is the case for white ppl living in remote areas too. But the inner city Aboriginal ppl have exactly the same access to healthcare, as anyone else in the city.

An indigenous friend of mine just had a stomach stapling (or whatever it's now called) op and airfares (around $25k for everyone else) from FNQ to BNE fully paid for by indigenous health.
