Royal Brass Band Sainte Cecile Celebrates With André Rieu , Part 1 of 2.
About one hundred musicians from Sainte Cécile are picked up at each concert day at 7:30 PM from the Eijsden Cultural Center with 2/3 Official Andre Rieu Buses. They then take them to the Kruisheren hotel in Maastricht, where the fans with a VIP package stay. So at about 8 PM, the Eijsden musicians start their march and walk with the VIP guests in their wake to the Vrijthof. While playing music the band makes two rounds between the audience on the square and then along the people who are having dinner on the terraces and along the platform of the "Theater on the Vrijthof" where the maestro can be seen by his fans. The Eijsden musicians walk exactly 1.7 kilometers every evening, while they play a various repertoire of marching music.
At About 8.30/45pm Andre Rieu Poses for Photos outside the Vrifthof Threatre, before getting ready to make a Grand Entrance via the Restaurant Terrace which allows all the Audience to have an interaction , very small ,fun and adds to the atmosphere.

I am from Texas usa and had tickets to see him last march in Atlanta Georgia but had to miss him and broke my heart. He is fabulous and watch him on Utube.

It's really splendor video. The marching band started beside of Kruisherenhotel that I stayed several times before for Andre's concerts. I watched same scene and followed them like you. Your video reminds me of my dear memories. Thank you for uploading.

just to clarify, this isn't the andre rieu marching band, it is in fact a local marching band from a village south of maastricht Eijsden and it is the royal marching band of the netherlands

Thanks - the idea of Rieu having a marching band was cringing - he's not military. And his excellent orchestra is quite enough work.

We are lucky survivors of the Covid global apocalypse disaster fans, seems we will survive the Putin's madness as well, anyone can survive a Rieu concert by now...those who are not sure, they need to give it a try. Now everything is on paper, saved, the dates, hours, locations, you buy tickets on-line and book travels, anything you want guys, just willing to enjoy a cute music medication of a kind & never let any evil dare to harm you guys
