Hi It's Cave Man Guerra here, I'm a Drummer from Brazil. Thank you for showing so much love, André was a legend and will keep being! Recently was aproved the "Metal Day", at the state of Paraná, as a way to homenage him and his legacy! Free translation: "Andre Matos was a pioneer in the mix of classical music with the heavy style of heavy metal and Brazilian rhythms, being one of those responsible for putting Brazil on the international rock scene in a style dominated by North Americans and Europeans. As some states have already said, Paraná, which has a significant rock community, also recognizes the importance of its work and pays this tribute."

This past Tuesday was the one year anniversary of Andre Matos's passing. I have been listening to everything that he has ever done this past week. Bands like Viper, Angra Shaman, Virgo, Symfonia, The Andre Matos Band, and the Avantasia project are all PHENOMENAL bands that Andre Matos got sing with. He was the whole package. He was a terrific lead singer, a phenomenal songwriter, an amazing piano player, and an awesome performer. He was truly a gifted musician big time. I love everything that he has done. My two favorite live albums that he did are Shaman's RituAlive Live In Sao Paulo concert and Viper's To Live Again Live In Sao Paulo concert. Those two shows are easily some of my favorite live albums I have ever listened to. They are both MASTERPIECES with PHENOMENAL songs and performances. Some of my favorite songs from the RituAlive Live In Sao Paulo concert are Lisbon and Fairytale, and some of my favorite songs from the To Live Again Live In Sao Paulo are Signs Of The Night and Living For The Night. Thanks again for doing this tribute for Andre Matos. He was one of a kind for sure.

This is an amazing tribute and reaction!! Andre Matos was an amazing singer, performer, songwriter, and composer. It really sucks that he passed away at such a young age. Every band that he was in is amazing!! I love Viper,Angra, Shaman, and The Andre Matos Band. I can only imagine the amazing music that he still had to give in the future, but I am thankful for all the amazing music that he did give us from all the bands he was in. Lisbon is one of my all time favorite songs ever. Andre really was a genius at creating music. May he Rest In Peace.

I'm from Brazil. Seven days Ago I saw Andre Matos with Shaman in Sao Paulo. How could I know.... It was his last concert.... Sad day

I'm 29 years old and since I was 14 years old I've been playing guitar flash (a guitar hero type game online) and me and my friends played Arising thunder and I didn't even realize that at that time my future idol was still with us. After 10+ years I discovered and listened to the entire album Angels Cry and fell in love with what I already knew. My routine is to come back from work, open a beer and listen to the album of the first lineup of Angra and some of Viper, and I am deeply moved by a mix of happiness and sadness.

First time watching your channel, Kel n Rich. As a Brazilian, the passing of André Matos has left an enormous gap in our music. One that definitively will not be able to be replaced. It saddly closes a very rich chapter in our musical history. But as a human being, his passing, to me, is like losing a very close family member. It´s hard to convey in words how deep his loss has struck me and how long will it take to heal. All I can say is that his music has transformed my life in so many ways and I´m just so grateful that he left his mark in this world. I would also like to thank you both for such an emotional and honest reaction to Andre´s music and life. In the end, music has no boundaries. It just reflects the best we can be in this world. Thank you both for reflecting the best in you. Bless your hearts and carry on!

Thanks for this video, we Brazilians don’t have so much to be proud of our country but Andre was one of the best things that country ever had, it’s so sad that his gone and never gonna perform again, but, at the end of the day he left all of his art here for us, forever! There are a lot of great musicians all around the world, but in Brazil, there will be never another Andre!

Thank u guys for your love and admiration to our musicians. We are really proud to be remembered by folks like Andre. The Brazil is a huge country with a lot of social inequality and cultural decay. The death of Andre was a brief note in the main telejournal of the country. We kinda feel like the greats musicians are waning in Brazil. It's very sad. There's a lot of great musicians in our country living on ostracism and struggling to survive. Anyway, thanks for your recognition.

I'm from Brazil, born in 1969, metalhead since 1985, and I followed Andre's career since he came to be known as the singer for Viper, even before they released their first album, "Soldiers Of Sunrise". He was a 15 year old kid back then, which in itself is already amazing. He was a very talented musician, went to school and became a maestro, and as you know, released many albums with Viper, Angra, Shaman and as a solo artist. But what everyone says about him above all, is how nice he's always been with everyone. Very reserved, very down to earth and and overall nice guy. And that's becoming rare these days. He will be missed as a musician and as a human being. Carry on, brother.

I had the pleasure of meeting Andre a couple times in my neighborhood in São Paulo, he was such a humble guy. I was just a 12 or 13 yo kid and even though I wasn't really into his music I could appreciate his humility and kindness. RIP Andre Matos

I can't stop crying when I remember we lose this great artist ... I could feel how you got emotional feelings watching this video too... I'm from Brazil and here he's one voice icon of pride... But can you imagine that he's death wasn't mentioned on the main communication midea or tv journalist or program channels .... Thank you for keeping his legacy alive. I've seen Angra and Shaman shows a lot of times, including the last one in june 6th. He was still a top performer and had so much to contribute to metal world. No one could ever imagine It was his last show.

Thank you guys. We’re still devastated. Andre, in Viper and Angra, was the one that, together with Iron Maiden, brought me into Heavy Metal. I’m still trying to deal with the idea of he being gone, because you know, things got difficult with every band he co-founded, because of his integrity and his loyalty to his music beliefs... But we were always like “ok it’s a matter of time... it can take as long as they need, until someday they’re all coming back together”... It’s hard to understand that now we are sure it will never happen

Thank you very much guys. I know your channel before that tragedy happens. And I know that you'll make this beautiful tribute to André. Metal fans in Brazil simply love André. Last saturday, here in Brazil, we celebreated The Rock Day, and there was a show in São Paulo, downtown, for free, when Angra and friends made this celebration for André, playing songs of all his carreer, and Rafael Bittencourt, Angra's guitar player, said there was a project in São Paulo City Hall to make 06/08 (date of his death) a Holiday that would be called "Metal Day". It would be a beautiful tribute to his memory! Thank tou guys here from Brazil... cheers
