@@JoeDaltonCustom you sayed that it looked if he was drunk in the show , andre never uses alcohol or drugs but you sayed in the clip looks like he did , then i sayed if you think he uses during shows thats not the case and you should look up hans teeuwen that guy is so off the planet , you can even see coke in that guys nose during his shows (hans teeuwen is also a dutch comedian that has a lot of energy only not a natural 1 like andre has and if you satill dont understand here is the dutch text for you en dan zech je dat hij over komt als of hij wat gedronken heeft (is niet zo hij gebruikt niets) maar moet je eens hans teeuwen op zoeken die staat op het podium met coke in zijn neus

I flew from Chicago to San Antonio once, I swear this was the captain. Ha

A lot of this stuff brings back some fond memories of my youth. Andre van Duin's comedy could be considered a mix of Stan Laurel (of whom he is a very big fan of), Danny Kaye (one of the movies Andre starred in, "de boezemvriend" was pretty much a Dutch version of Danny Kaye's "The Inspector General"), and also a bit of "Weird Al" Yankovic, because of the fact that many of Andre's humorous songs tend to be parodies of existing songs. But the man also has a great regular singing voice, look up songs like "als de zon schijnt", "want het is zomer", "mijn allergrootste fan". But no matter what, the man is a jack of all trades with regards to comedy, and is pretty much considered as a national treasure. He has been mostly out of the limelight in recent times with regards to comedy though, because of the recent loss of his partner to cancer, and unfortunately, he himself has been recently diagnosed with cancer as well, i believe. But anyway, here are some of the best Andre van Duin sketches you could look up: "het schooltje" aka "the school"; "het cafe" aka "the cafe"; "de trouwzaal" aka "the marriage hall"; "the japanese restaurant"; "de dieren oppasser" aka "the animal minder"; "bezoek uit Rome" aka "company from rome", plus you could look up songs like; "de heide zangers" ; "als je huilt" aka "when you cry"; "er staat een paard in de gang" aka "there is a horse in the hallway" ; "barbeque" ; "het pizza lied" aka "the pizza song" ; "ik heb hele grote bloemkolen" aka "i've got very large cauliflowers"; "een boutje en een moertje", and, for last, "ik heb mijn dag niet vandaag" aka "i'm not having my day, today". This should keep you occupied for some time, i reckon. There is just too much material to list.

I have been on a flight from Washington DC to Amsterdam. Half an hour after takeoff, we turned and flew back to Washington. We made a precautionary landing, and along the landing strip there were tens of fire trucks and ambulances with their blue lights on. It was the scariest flight I have ever been on…

So, if anyone was wondering why Airbus pushes the automation rather than the pilot control... now you know. 😁😁😁

Had my first vacation via airplane recently, wasn’t that great of an experience. It was so bumpy, I threw my back out at takeoff and I dislocated my shoulder on landing. and had the security officers tell me that airport had a record of least amount of things getting lost at security. And you guessed it, some stuff of mine went missing from my tray during the 5 minutes of setting my tray on the track and retrieving it on the other end of the scanner. Still haven’t heard back from airport officials. 😔 I would want to try flying with a different airline, but still a little hesitant.

Very rough flight I had was with a company from former Yugoslavia. Very bumby and the man next to me said: "I hope the pilot has his flight licence." To which I responded: "He will get it when he land this flight." At which the man's wife started panicking and stayed stressed the whole flight.

I once landed in China during a hurricane. The plane skipped on the runway, we ended up in a ricefield..i really thought this is the end. We came out ok. But it scared the shit out of me.

You can better be above water If something happens with an aeroplane than above land. If an aeroplane crashes on land, I expect it to be totally damaged. If it crashes above water I think you change survival is higher. Leave the aeroplane with the solide and used your safety jackets. A coast Guard will probably show up for rescue.

Not true, it is safer to fly over land. That's why airplanes never fly straight to the USA from Europe. The always fly as much above land as possible.

1. Water is like concrete when you hit it with some speed. 2. Waves make it harder/impossible to "land" a plane in a safe way. 3. Safety jackets are nice and all, but your still in the water, depending where on the globe you are, you could get hypothermia, heatstroke get eaten by sharks, get kidnapped by the Flying Dutchman... (it has happened to people that survived the sinking of a ship, it can happen to people surviving a plane crash)

Worst flights I've ever been on were from ArkeFly to and from Macedonia. They're the only flights I've ever been on so they were the best ones as well. They were pretty good actually but by lack of something to outrank them they're the worst :')

Duin isn't pronounced doo-in. Problem is, "ui" in Dutch makes a sound which is not available in most languages. You would already be closer pronouncing it "dine"

Greatest thing always was him going off script, trying to break his co-stars (and often succeeding) over the years he has become (a bit )less wild, but not to much... People get older and physical comedy is quite a burden on the body... Nevertheless he still loves cracking jokes and thankfully still works for tv... Highly, you should search "Balletjes van de koningin" (song) and "meneer en mevrouw de Bok" (sketch) The song is for the (then) Queen Beatrix, the sketch is him performing slapstick like only he can (mr. & mrs. de Bok always have that marital problem vibe)

Does he still perform? I left the Netherlands about 15 years ago, so I'm a bit out of the loop. I used to live Animal Crackers, de revues and his shenanigans with... Ron Brandsteder? I can't recall the exact name
