André 3000, LeBron James, Sexyy Red, Jerry Lorenzo on Nerves, Haters & Out of Body Experiences
Legends, innovators and stars from the new generation. Everybody pulls up to The Shop.
For episode 7, we got a very special group together. Andre 3000, LeBron James, Sexyy Red, Jerry Lorenzo, Jiaoying Summers, and Nigel Sylvester sit down with Maverick Carter and Paul Rivera for an unforgettable conversation. Andre discusses the early days of Outkast and the Dungeon Family, the legacy of Rico Wade, his love for the flute and a lot more. LeBron talked about aspiring to be something greater when growing up, his favorite Andre verses ever and having out-of-body experiences on the court. Sexyy breaks down how she first started rapping, how she deals with nerves before hitting the stage and the importance of timing. Jerry talks about the how his faith drives his creativity and decision-making, not wanting people to put a label on him and more. Jiaoying hilariously gives us insight into her comedy style, how she got her start and performing at The Apollo. Nigel talks coming up in Queens, New York, when he first found his love of bicycle riding and how he approaches brand-building.
This is where culture shapes up.

The atmosphere they created as they were conversing, so organically receptive of each other's stories ...is an example of, a small investment of listening to each other creates relations that familiarize us with one another, which contributes to an atmosphere to where we receive(share) each other's stories with open-mindedness and without prejudices... ... That was great Ty for this
To have this conversation with her into there proves that the machine is real!
It’s wild hearing 3 Stackz talk about his performance with the flute. Tony Baker was right “wherever the flute takes us” 😂😂

this interview makes me love Andre 3000 even more and I reallyyyy like Sexxy Red. They're both so real and down to earth
Great interview. Creating a barbershop space where everyone listens and shares their narrative and opinions increases conversation. I appreciate hearing when each person realized they could “become”, how supportive people helped and embracing challenges they’d have to overcome all were key! Bravo!
That's Asian lady was so quick with it... Respect!

Very nice show. I truly enjoyed it. Will tune in again😊
The love I have for Andre 3000 is unmatched. He is such an intellect and a lyrical genius. His verse on "Sorry" & "International Players Anthem" is my favorite. & his skin is so beautiful! My gosh! Keep going!

Thank you for putting this on KZread. You didnt have to and I for one really appreciate and The Shop in general. Infomative, influential and interviews like these of our icons/heroes/idols are imperative to the culture. One love.
This was crazy good! I've never heard of it before but I like the eclectic lineup and how real everyone was.
This was an Andre 3000 interview 👍🏾 Loved it
Andre 3000 verse on Life of the party is my verse. I think everyone has an Andre verse that resonates with them.

The flow of this thing here is amazing. That hour always fly's by
i wish i could sit in on something like this. being a white kid from a suburban area who doesn’t understand the backgrounds they’ve had, but i appreciate the work, craft, drive, and obviously the confidence they had in themselves. listening to this stuff could inspire anyone in the world
it is so good to hear Andre 3k's voice. Cannot get enough of him, wish he would make a few hip hop albums. Miss him
