I loved Andariel and a lack of dialogue for her, she's supposed to be this disgusting monstrosity of fear and suffering. It makes sense that all the sound she makes is howling screams of agony and pain. THAT BEING SAID THERE WAS A VERY MISSED OPPORTUNITY FOR DURIEL HE SHOULD'VE SAID "Looking for Lillith?"

i thought it as he saw him 'looking for baal?' I came here specifically to see if he would still be the same cocky guard, but I suppose he got old and tired. Hell, the good old duriel hopped toward you pinned you down, stomped and chilled, smirking all the way. Having half a maggot for a body doesn't bode well, I suppose. But MISSED OPPORTUNITY indeed, it is his very epic line. D4 has been clever in incorporating/bringing back a lot of D2, this would've been icing on the cake for me as well.

That archway taking up half of the line of sight of Duriel's room.

Bosses at the same tier of Azmodan and Belial reduced to not a single voice line... That's a huge disapointment to me...

I personally think that it makes them better than Azmodan and Belial, both sounded a bit cheesy in D3, like cartoon villains. In this case, no voice lines at all makes Duriel and Andariel just like the great evils they're supposed to be, i mean there is no dialog at all cause they don't need to talk os show-off their abilities and intentions, it's just Pain and Anguish incarnate.

I think it was so much build up but they missed the payoff. Its an amazing game and im gonna play it for ages. But plot wise, im hoping things get more fleshed out in the expansions.

@@PlutonianPrince Don't get me wrong, i was talking about voice lines and their presence in general as Great Evils. Story wise i think you're absolutely right, but let's just say that they gave a helping hand to Lilith knowing she would eventually overtrow Mephisto and take his place as a Prime, and that alone could have been an opportunity for the Lesser Evils in many ways, but that's Just me overthinking it 😆

Im thinking the reason theyre this weak is because theyre incomplete. Mephisto himself said that his essence was still reforming so its logical to think the other evils are still merely reforming. additionaly the summoning of at least Andariel could have been weak as she had no host, evils need hosts to fully manifest.

This makes me feel like my character is very overgeared for where I'm at in the story :x

If D1 butcher was in a D3 event, why not D2 Duriel in D4? Back when he would slow your attacks and movement speed. Even stun or let out a barrage of strikes.

Same. But I was 46 and mobs scale with number of players in party, so its easier to solo imho.

I know Andariel and Duriel can talk easily like the other Evils (Diablo, Mephisto, Baal, Belial and Azmodan) talk... But i guess Blizzard didn't have more budget to pay the voice actors

had the same feeling with Duriel. He hopped toward you, beat you into some corner and his attack would chill you, so he would rarely hit you fewer than 2 times, often without you being able to do anything at all. Andariel was sort of sluggish though, she just had high poison damage with those poisony blasts. Here she reminds me more of kerrigan. Nonetheless, I never really feared andariel, lvl 10 was doable. Duriel always scared the crap out of me at a low level (back to them sewers, sanctum, canyon runs...). Looking for Baal? Damn... I mostly remember andariel screaming as she burned 🔥

Anyone know why Andariel has her hands bound to that wooden thing. Was she being kept subdued or captive by Lilith? Also Duriel's motivation to help Lilith is strange. Didn't he learn his lesson from the first time he tried to go against the prime evils. Yet here he is back to betraying them.

behavior is a thing that sticks though and demons tend to love punishment. Mephisto sort of underlined it when he said he loved the hatred of the barbarians - hatred towards his own brother Baal, but hatred nonetheless. Duriel is the lord of pain, so there's that. He loves a good fight, I suppose. Win/Win...

I think the events of Diablo III might have influenced their decisions. The Lesser Evil's might have figured Mephisto and Baal would have been far more angry at Diablo for the scheme with the black soulstone than they would have been over their own betrayal. If true, then at the very least Andariel and Duriel wouldn't have to contend with the Primes being united against them, and at best they might be too busy fighting each other

@@danshaw1096 funnily enough, eve tho Mephisto was furious af at Adria for imprisoning him then Baal was, from the writings we had from Adria, Baal was more so intrigued at what she did and allowed himself to be imprisoned. I'd really like them to delve into this at some point as Baal by far is the wisest of the three brothers, to a point where his initial imprisonment by the horadrim required one of the strongest mages of their time to bind him .

The 7 greater evils never truly die, they all eventually reform in hell, some of this reforming is actually part of the plot in D4
