Yes was quite a size once we got next to it.

Love this! The jack sparrow was a great impersonator lol! I wanted him to end with "Where's the Rum"? Lol

Great spanish ship, her old brothers travelled all over the world.

Thank you for uploading this. I was visiting Whitby just last week and went to the museum dedicated to James Cook. I imagine that a Spanish vessel would have received a rather different welcome back in 1588.

WAS NICE BLUE SKY, BUT still cold at times yesterday. Would be nice if August and Sept were warm.

Absolutely, it was amazing.

It was like a big black void coming into the harbour amazing to see perfect for whitby very gothic

We go here at weekends sometimes like it❤

It was a great evening. And the Sun shone for a change.

I remember another beautiful ship the Barque Marques coming into Whitby in August 1980 . Sadly it sank in the Tall Ships race in 1984 .

@@nook788 That was my dads favourite program. He loved Tall Ships. So pleased you mentioned it. I didn't realise it came to Whitby.

@@fenderac3049 Endeavour had small engine too when it visited Whitby, although sail is Main propulsion in this modern world small diesel engine is necessary in times no wind

Looks dull, like the Black Pearl. If she were to fly her colours, Huge Spanish flag from the stern it may have brightened her up slightly. Can't imagine the Spanish going in for drab matt black Galleons. Nice replica all the same.

What flag is it flying? That's about 200.000 pounds of a lot of work!

Hi Lila, must be leaving on the 15th or 16th as its in Scarborough on the 17th.

This one Spanish galleon achieved more than the whole bloody Amanda , didn’t fire a shot either. Just sayin.

A sail ship without using sails.., that's clever! Guess it's a tourist copy then! All on decks, get yer cash out!

it must have a Yanmar!
