"We don't get a Christmas, unless you write a song" From a story perspective, that is such a somber thought, and as a writer, this is the line that really struck me here. The characters that are written and molded and shaped are only given their joys [and consequently sorrows] from those that interact with them. An unfinished story can be seen as characters left in limbo, a song half done at a sudden sour stop. There is so much story potential, so many ideas, just on that mere principle; And it came from one little line. These characters are intended to be of horror. They only get to expierence the joys of the holiday, by those who decide it. That being said, for those of you creators out there who like this sort of thing--go make some happy nice things for them so Stupendium can have a break. I don't think he gets hazard pay hosting horrors for Christmas. XD

Based on this principle (which I've already held before listening to this song though its very nice to hear it put into words) I just finished drawing everyone's D&D characters in the campaign having a Christmas party. Feels like they get a break now :) I hope the characters enjoy it!

I feel bad this guy had to write a song asking his audience to leave him alone. I understand why their so addicted to this content (its absolute gold) but yall gotta give him a break at some point.

I just realised, this outfit lets Stupes look like The Doctor. Man, that would be a wild show.

Having the characters be self-reflective and having their own dialogue with you is actually a pretty good way of keeping it fresh. Not even in a scary way, just their desire to live a normal life is really touching. On the horror side of things, and ours being consumed by his most popular work really is fascinating. It’s part of why we love “I’m sorry John.”

The line "We don't get a Christmas unless you write a song" is oddly heart-wrenching. Beautiful work as always!

This makes me emotional, more then usual. I feel like we've just finished a journey together with Stupes. I've been here for every horror holiday and watched them all the day they came out. Now we've come to the final one, and I can't help but look back with joy over the thousands of times I've listened to this saga. Here's to you, Stupes! I'm excited to see what you do for next Christmas now that you've wrapped up this excellent series.

I’m not a fan of horror games but as a longtime Stupendium fan this was a huge treat full of classic Stupendium goodies. I look forward to seeing where you take your works! Side note, I love how many parts of the song, especially starting around when Stupendium responds to the monsters joining, sound like Fairytale of New York, which is fitting and a Christmastime song that I love.

Yeah, definitely has some fairytale of new york in the call and response bits. Reminds me a bit of Stupes' Muppet christmas carol cover in the some of the bits where the crowd of monsters is singing too.

Ah. A Stupendium Christmas song. I only started listening a few months ago, but it still feels so satisfying to see this drop. Even if it is your last one, I have loved this whole series and can’t wait to see what comes in the future. And if you do keep doing these, respect. Doing something annually for four years is hard. Just look at the toys to life craze from last decade. Annual things are difficult to maintain.

Damn, ok this was a lot more emotional than it should have been- I always loved your first Christmas horror song, me and my sister were so excited for the next ones. It always felt good to have a sense of nostalgia coming back to our heads, and reminding ourselves of the many other fandoms still existing. But, if you really want to end this series, do it. Don't listen to the people who pressure you to continue this. Yes, I must admit, it will be heart-breaking to see a piece of my childhood fade again, just like it always had, but this is your channel, your life, and you have control over what you want. We don't get to decide for you unless you ask to.

Dear Stupendium, Let me start my minor rant by saying thank you for all the quality content you've made throughout the years. I always look forward to next song to listen on repeat to until your next song. I've pick up the hint that you no longer want to continue this series and may I say, you have my full support. I can understand feeling burnout on a project and how emotionally draining it can be to feel like you need to continue. I know that I'll stop with the pressure to make another. I honestly didn't expect this, thank you for this entry. But if you do truly feel like you're pressured to keep making these, just know we enjoy all of these wonderfully produced and written videos; we'd be happy to watch all of whatever you so produce. Thank you for another year of great music.

Every year I come back around to these sounds because of the fact that I was there when they first came out and still here now. And out of all of them, this one’s by far my favorite. The computer’s voice is great, so is the music itself and structure. But as much as I like these songs, I’m glad they’re done with them. I’m happy that Stupendium is able to branch out for the holidays. And maybe; just maybe, the line of “We don’t get a Christmas unless you write a song” applies to any Christmas song. A happy ending for both. But that’s wishful thinking, I suppose.

It's really nice to listen to songs about how even scary characters need the "Spirit of Christmas". From the first song, I began to listen every time for the new year and be filled with a Christmas mood. It's sad that the story is over (probably), but now it has become even more nostalgic. Thank you for another Christmas spent with your songs. (I'm waiting for new songs that will make more people happier, whatever they are)

I just wanna say, while this series may be ending, it still shows how talented Greg has gotten over the years. The first one, while still a banger, feels more like an appetiser than a main course. And each year the quality on these have improved so much, showing that even when under pressure, you really can still make something and improve on what you’ve built upon.

2:06 - 2:24 sounds like the start of a creepy or sinister fairy tale. the line "you forgot our invitations, we guess we'll invite ourselves." sounds especially like theyre about to start trying to kill you because you didnt invite them. is it wrong im disappointed that the song didnt go in that direction?

Even though the series ended you can be sure that we will listen to those songs every christmas over and over until we grow sick of them.

Ok, the song is absolutely gracious and the message is beautifully clear, but can we respect the animation for this? Honestly Stupes, how much time did it take you to draw all of this stuff? Coming from someone that aspires to be an animator, you're my main inspiration. Great job Stupes

So from what I can tell, this is a kinda pataphysics thing. If a song about them is created, then that’s what happens. So, to my understanding, this means we can keep the tradition alive, kind of. We, as viewers, create story’s, videos, and anything else we can, maybe we could even send to stupendium or something, but we would, as a community, be keeping this alive.

I hope that you're not just going by want the audience wants. Do stuff you want to do, too. I enjoy your songs no matter what they're about. Great song anyway, mate. Don't pressure yourself too much. I hope you're taking care.

Even if it's not, it's what I heard and I'm going to pester a couple people that are better at coding than I am to see if we can do it. Mostly because it'd be great to have actual quality videos get recommended to me again. Maybe we could go back to a 5 star system for rating vids. Never did get an answer for why that disappeared.

I absolutely loved the whole struggle portrayed in this song. I'm exited to see what the next Christmas will bring, monster related or not, I know it'll be fun.

This gives me such a Nightmare before Christmas vibes it's unreal. It's also quite grand and, for someone who honestly doesn't expect one if these every year, it makes for a pretty nice Christmas present. If anything, I want to see something new, just for it to catch on, cause I'm quite curious what it will be.

I honestly, truly didn't think this song was ever going to happen. This was amazing as a closer as is expected, anything coming from you is amazing! You and your music has carried me through trauma, being homeless for the better part of a year and losing some close family. Thank you so much for everything you do, it has been a source of escape for me through these horrible quarantine years. Man, its already been a year since this amazing series ended. I just wanted to come back to put out an idea I had. Imagine if a game was made about this idea? It'd be hard to have all these characters in a game without getting slapped around by copyright, but imagine a game where you play as the host of a Christmas party like this. You have to keep everything together and perhaps fulfil the requests and needs of the monstrous guests. Help certain characters get along and prevent conflicts and keep the party going smoothly. There could also be a sanity meter like Stupes mentioned in The Fright Before Christmas. I have no coding skills so don't expect me to come back here and be like, "Hey, I made it!" but I just wanted to share the thought.

This was great! Catchy, self aware, beautiful performed. Of course you don't have to continue next year, or at all. More would be nice, cause these are really fun! But, if you really are getting sick of this series, take a break, absolutely! Don't force yourself Greg. I'm sure we'll be happy with whatever you do next year!

How about a Festive Halloween next year? Like, a bunch of wholesome characters made to be scary, but slipping in their own cheerful twists.

This was absolutely amazing! By far the most emotional song I’ve ever heard. Who lives who dies who tells your story? Not even close. Seriously though, amazing.

lmao i just thought, there isnt another song in the series not because the computer broke, but because the it likely ran out of battery being abandoned. it gets better with the fact that this parallels the series itself, the songs didn't flop, the series just was going on for too long.

I look forward to these every year, but I honestly wouldn't mind something new next Christmas. It's nice to get a bit of variety sometimes. I just really like how so many franchises crossover with each other.

I'd honestly never push for the holiday horror. At least I'd never insist on it that is, but it's definitely a welcome thing to see and honestly it really is strangely heartwarming to see horror villains getting to relax and be festive.

Omfg, I can’t believe how good Sans got me with “meta? I hardly know her! Wait that kinda works.”

Man not only is this a great Christmas song, but it shows the creative struggle of making something popular and something creatively fulfilling. Amazing as always!

You know, I think it’s really cool how you’re able to express your feelings about making these horror holiday songs while also serving as a great finishing masterpiece to a fantastic trilogy!

why is the show more opening the top rather than the bottom

This is our Christmas tradition and you can’t tell me no. Seriously though, I really wasn’t expecting a third one! This was beautifully put together and I can definitely say this has surely made my day. Well done Stupendium! ❤️

This is the 4th song. It’s crazy he has done this 4 years in a row. I’m glad he is doing something different next year and I’m exited to see what it will be.

That awkward moment when Stupendium's own song turned on him... Though I'm a writer of stories, I do know some of that pain when your creations simply won't cooperate as intended. You have my deepest sympathies... here's hoping that you're not forced into any other holiday song genres. I'm literally warning everyone- don't force him into this; he probably has enough to worry about as is.

This series definitely has been something. We've witnessed 4 songs over 4 Christmases and if they do stop then I'll surely miss them, but this is definitely a song worthy of ending the series

Okay I was prepared to not have a frightful christmas at all from the start but I do like what we got in the end. I understand that you wanna move on and completely welcome it. I'd rather have something new and original than something familiar and cookie cutter stuff. Thank you for everything this year.

I love how he finally addressed that his songs are so much longer than literally every other song on the internet, which I absolutely love about his music.

Before you say silly things like "so much longer than literally every other song on the internet", you should consider checking out some Progressive Metal like Ayreon. 6 minutes is half the length of some tracks. It's just longer than mainstream pop songs.

As much as I wanted a fourth, I didn't think one was coming. Thank you so much for these past Christmas tunes, but please don't push yourself too hard. As much as we love them I think we can all agree that we want you to be able to focus on what YOU enjoy. So don't feel too pressured next year, I'm sure all of us can go one year without a frightening Christmas carol. Best wishes!

I’ve listen to this song countless times, and it gets better every single time I listen to it it’s such a great song, especially when he starts singing fast and I try to keep up😁😁😁 it’s such a good song!

I think a good way to keep everyone happy and also continue this series would be to just make little shorts every year, maybe a minute long or maybe less, with just some horror characters from that year doing Christmas stuff and no fancy and complicated visuals. Simple, easy, still leaves room for original stuff. Just like the song says, you may find these easier if they weren't six minutes long! I think these would do well as shorts. Of course, I'm fine with them going away entirely and I'm sure almost everyone else is too!

Only The Stupendium can somewhat aggressively beg his audience to quit working him dry and be happy with what they have for once…in musical form. Great song, Stupes, and just know that I, at least, am excited to see what new thing you bring us next year. After all, what’s the fun in opening a Christmas present if you already know what’s inside? 🙃

As someone who found this channel via the very first of the Christmas horror songs I'm amazed it's been 3 years already! Almost all of your songs have made me laugh in some way, the ones that don't usually make me cry (but that means they're good) No matter what you decide to do for a Christmas song next year I'm sure it'll be just as amazing as everything else on your channel. Merry Christmas and thank you for making me smile with all of your songs and videos :D

"We don't get a Christmas unless you write a song," these guys work 24/7, scaring, killing, and just genuinely terrifying, Horror characters don't have anything but then you came along, gave them Christmas, the happiest night/day, they thank you for your kind heart, but they care and if you need a break they'll understand, they'll be upset but at least your their savior is happy and refreshed, this line holds so many emotions and brings a new light to the horror characters, plus the ending is a cliff-hanger, we can continue or end but you'll decide.

As I was listening, I heard one of the parts sounded familiar and I realized after a good 20 minutes of searching Christmas songs the "we never had a holiday" part sounds similar to the "and the pool boy interview chamber choirs are singing sipsco hooray" from the sipsco Christmas song. I just found that very nostalgic!

It's a pastiche of 'Fairytale of New York' by the Pogues. The Sipsco song is a direct parody of that song, whereas mine just makes some melodic references to it. :P

I was honestly surprised, seeing this - I don't like to expect things from creators, to enjoy all their best, and you ... you blew my mind, made me chuckle, and warmed my heart all at once with this one. same here, i legit said that there will not be another one, that would just be to much, especially if you consider that the last one already ends on "im out of ideas" but look here, there it is. the fourth one and just as good as ever.

Merry Christmas, Stupendium! I loved how open-ended this was. It left every possibility open so we don't now what to expect around this time next year! This series of songs has been incredible, and I respect the fact that you've continued it for as long as you did. I can't wait to see what song you make next. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Marvel Cinematic Universe? No, I'm all about the Stupendium Christmas Universe! This was such a joy to experience, and I thank you for bringing it back after last years "send off". In these turbulent times this is a pleasant tradition and the song was as amazing as ever! The build up to this song in your social media makes so much sense now and I am blown away by the commitment you have shown to to this. I hope that next year you do get the chance to work on some other projects, but you might wind up with another year of us begging for more of this xD

I remember when the first of these came out and I love seeing how far it has come. This one feels like a great bow to tie this all up on. As much as another would probably be just as stupendous, I’m excited to listen to whatever is made next year! (Also I love the inclusion of Choo Choo Charles.)

this is by far your best christmas song. i cant quite pin down why but part of these songs remind me of fairytale of new york, which is my favorite christmas song ever. so that combined with the stupendous wordplay puts this at a easy number one stupendium christmas song.

I hope you pull a Scream and do a new one of these every decade. When it's become less saturated, more nostalgic, and you have ten years of new horror game material to work off of, and also to make it even more meta! Of course that's only if you'll still be doing this ten years on, which is unknown, to say the least.

Time for one of my favorite KZread holiday traditions! (Also a wonderful twist, great job as always) And honestly, I'm just glad you're persisting after all this time, and even if you did a different type of song next year, I'd not be upset. Lights on a truck is still an all-time favorite, and if you did another original Christmas song I'm sure it'd be even better. Just do what you'd like!

As much as I enjoy the horror Christmas songs, I'm glad you're doing what you want instead of dragging the series on for the fans sake, after all, art is often a reflection of the artist's emotions in my experience

It's wonderful seeing all of these Christmas songs and enjoying the merry frights once again. Thank you for all your hard work in writing these for 4 years now. They are absolutely brilliant.

Ok i may be a little late on commenting on this but i love these so much! i dont know how to express in words what Stupendium does but all i know is that his songs are the best if he chooses to end it here it will be okay after all it is his choice and i think pressure just won’t do it for him he deserves truly at least breaks and time to come up with his own ideas, anyways before this gets too long just wanna say that Stupendium has truly given me inspiration and light when it’s been dark over the years and if he chooses his own way i respect that fully, thank you Stupendium for another great Christmas Fright!💙

I love all the small sections from other Christmas songs used in the melody, mainly I can pick out "Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues... Also Greg, please don't feel forced to write songs if the audience demands it and you arent feeling it. This is a banger, but it's okay to say no to the audience if you feel it's not gonna be enjoyable for you :-)
