I think he’s rated pretty accurately… he’s great on the mic, but absolutely sucks in the ring. If he lost weight, got in shape, learned how to wrestle, could develop more than a 12” vertical on his enzuigiri, he could actually be a mediocre worker and that mic work would elevate him to the stars. As it stands, the mic work is the only reason he has a job.

Best promo in wrestling and has been for years now.

Eddie was the only reason I ever went to Chikara. He was the only reason I tuned back into Impact. Every time he's been on a show within reasonable driving distance from Columbus, Ohio I've tried to make. I was there when his match with Wes Barkley in AIW was so heated a fan almost jumped the rail and got his ass kicked but was held back. Eddie is a great example of what can be real in pro wrestling in 2019, he's been down the roads and back. I've shared a drink with him and never questioned he was the same person in real life as the same person cutting the best promos of the last decade; and I never questioned that he could kick my ass. The tag run he had with Homicide in ROH probably will never be remembered for how great it truly was. He could have hit his peak in any era, any territory and held his own with the best of them, truly timeless. Hope to see you in AIW again Eddie, but either way know that seeing you live has been an honor.

This is so good. Eddie Kingston has been one of the truly most underrated wrestlers in the last 10-15 years & it's a shame the guy gets no respect. He'll always be a real one in a business full of fake, smug people.

He doesn't get respect because he contradicts his emotion one minute he says his passionate about being a wrestler another minute he doesn't care what anybody thinks his everywhere and it's hard to get with him or to hate him because his telling you one story but then his telling you another its confusing what to think of him

The best part of wrestling the last year has been seeing Eddie complete his dreams. Whether its finishing his story with Claudio and at the same time becoming the ROH World champion or going to Japan and completing in the G1 or winning the NJPW Open Weight Stong title(anyone who hasn't seen the promo he cut immediately after go watch it now, 1 of the best I've ever seen), or facing off with some of his heros and dream opponents like Kojima, Akiyama, Suzuki, Ishi, to meeting some of his other heros and inspirations like Liger, Kobashi and Kawada and most recently being crowned a triple crown champion after competing in the first ever Continetal Classic and facing off and defeating one of his closest freinds Jon Moxley at Worlds End. It's has been amazing to watch his journey and see that with hard work and determination you can make your dreams come true.

Amazing documentary. Mad respect for the King.

Damn. I FELT this. To say this was extremely well-made to me sounds like an default, stereotypical response, but it was, and it is. VERY well-made. This captures his heart and soul like nothing else, and it leaves the viewer wanting more. God bless Eddie Kingston...God bless Eddie Moore.

People finally giving Kingston his roses and rightfully so but ironically enough it might be to his detriment. His best work is as a heel...no debate. But he's so over now, I don't think people will ever be able to boo him regardless of what he does. Blue collar journeyman that everyone can relate to.

Agreed ! I’d love to see AEW put the world title on him. He’s probably my favorite wrestler right now. He’s a throwback. He’d have been incredible in ECW/80’s NWA/attitude era WWE....

GREAT doc! I remember seeing Eddie for the first time, in a CRAZY deathmatch at CZW tournament of Death. He took some mad punishment in that match, as Zandig, and Joker beat the shit out of him. The guy took it, cut an awesome promo afterwards, and I've enjoyed his work ever since.

I'm glad Kingston's getting his share what he deserves. Man has been a staple in independent wrestling, has faced the best of the best. Good to see him in AEW being Eddie Kingston, being him. Not repackaged not a written new name different moveset just straight up all real him.

I’m relatively new to Eddie Kingston, but I did catch his stuff since around Impact Wrestling and definitely in NWA Powerrr. Where has this guy been? The big pro wrestling companies should’ve snatched him up a decade ago. This man is what has been missing in pro wrestling for years and he reminds me of other top stars like Austin or Rock back when they were still hungry and needed an opportunity. Except Kingston is more real than either of those guys, everything he says I feel. He’s a genuine guy and that translates in his promos and in the ring. I know he’s currently in AEW and I hope they make him the huge star he deserves to be.

You know how everyone thought Chris Hero could be a legend, and he was great in the ring, but he let himself become a fat f*ck, and squandered his shot? Remember how Rock and Austin were great on the stick, had charisma, and were good storytellers with great visual appeal even though they had mediocre repertoires? Remember how people thought the Sandman had incredible charisma, even though he sucked in the ring and never had “the look?” People would compare him to Austin, even though all they really had in common was drinking beer and being “relatable” as Everyman characters. Eddie is an fat, unathletic f*ck with a near non-existent move set who looks like he belongs in the crowd watching a wrestling show, not competing in it. But, he’s got the mic skills and charisma. He’s much closer to Sandman on that spectrum, and the best he could have hoped for in the big leagues ten years ago is a manager’s gig or teaching a promo class as a road agent. Now he’s found his spot in AEW, and they are working wonders with him. That never would have worked before now. There was just no place in mainstream wrestling back in 2011 for a guy who looked like a dude begging for cigarettes outside a Cumby’s, telling you he was a tough guy.

Best of the best with out a fuckin doubt all aspects . all hail the mad king .

AFI is one of my favorite bands and this is one of my favorite AFI songs and I find it appropriate especially considering that King is facing CM Punk tomorrow night in what is likely the biggest match of his career, the biggest FIGHT of his career. I got chills when he shot on Punk and said please leave again for 7 years after I beat your ass up at Full Gear...it's a great story and I'm very excited to see Pro Wrestling's last Desperado in action against Punk at one of the biggest shows of the year! This was put together beautifully and I appreciate you sharing it with us. Mad respect to The Mad KING.
