*EDIT & UPDATE* : It's been made clear to me that Brief Respite/Augur Mods actually reset her Shield Gating from her Grenade Fan. I wasn't aware of this, so if you happen to see this comment I do hope you can take note and change those particulars for substitutes, my bad on that one guys, that's on me! Protea has been a powerhouse since her release, and, with the additional Augments factoring synergy with the combination of her 2nd & 4th, it's quite evident she's overloading and solidifying herself as a top Warframe to pickup and use. I sue to think her fourth was god awful . People push for strength when the duration assists with stripping . My protea is literally at a strength of 70 and her duration is 270 Using the anchor to create a bubble of survival. I drop a dispensary and if I die in the anchor I wind up healing because of equilibrium. Even short burst of using the anchor goes a long way such as going into it when your ho is low , dropping a dispensary witting down a few enemies , and snapping out of it next to your dispensary and healing )😮 I used roar originally but overall (my take ) is to strip above buffing . I've recently played Protea with her new mod and honestly it makes some missions I originally struggled with a lot easier and less frustrating. Very informative video. gives all the information I need and gets to the point very well. over all my enjoyment with the video is rather high. Keep up making the content style you enjoy.

brief respite on protea is criminal, it resets her shield drones shield gate, so with it if u cast a ability on shield break u basically remove your shield gate also both equilibrium and energize is kind of overkill even with dispensery gone, otherwise its a great build tho

The Equilibrium, Flow, Energize + Synth Mod is overkill you're not wrong. It's a personal preference, hence the other options suggested. I will run this combo continuously as it means I frequent no energy issues even in situations that could lead to negating returns/drains. (Energy Eximus Procs/Magnetic Procs, in different missions and factions where I'm not paying attention) Just thought I'd state my reasoning behind it. As for the Brief Respite - I won't lie to you, I didn't know it reset her Drone Shield Gate. Thanks for the info and correction!

@@NoSympathyyCA1 Augur mods too. Avoid them on Protea. You might not have noticed with Efficiency so low,, since it jacks the energy cost and thus the shields regained.

This seems fixed, casting with augur mods on leaves me with 4s shield gate after my satellite breaks.

I think im in a minority of players that actually like this augment. Sure the 4th ability is painfully bad, but putting on the two augments for her, letting you keep a turret that also armor strips, is a good trade off to me. I subsumed nourish on her 3, build max duration, and now I can just run around while killing everything.

This, or just helminth Jade ability on her, it also strips armor, saving a mod slot and adds a lot of survavibility with the slow.

This is a great video i really like the sample text... seriously though build looks solid cant wait to give this a try soon!

All the people saying to subsume off TA clearly doesn’t play Protea. Note: brief respite will screw your shield gate. She already recieves a full shield gate by casting shield drones. Throwing on Growing Power would do more good here. Great vid 👍🏽

Damn, this build is super cool!!

So I love the idea of her becoming the Predator with a auto aiming plasma cannon on her shoulder but its still that 4 not working right and been so clunky. That skill can work but it needs changing, specifically the rewinding time to the point you were when you cast it, think just how far your standard frame can run (only run no bullet jumps of slides) in that amount of time only now you have to travel that distance twice to get back to where you had already reached. I can think of 2 ways to rework it 1# you press it and it drops a mark this mark remembers the location, HP/shields/energy/ammo and at any point you press it again and it warps you back to that location just as you were when you cast it. 2# it’s always active, when you take almost fatal damage it warps you away from the location you would have died restoring some of your hp shields and energy, you can activate it yourself and it warps you back in time 5 to 10 seconds. There are probably much better ways to rework her 4 but that’s off the top of my head while trying to keep the time loop idea, out of the 2 of them I think I like idea 1# best.

All you have to do is hold 4 at the end of the duration to cancel it so you don’t get rewound, then activate it again. Her 4 is insanely strong, people just don’t use it right or are too lazy to use it right.

I wonder if I can find any warframe accounts that already have that heirloom’s sigma??? I have missed it out and also heard from the dev that they will never bring it back

Protea is known as a frame that holds down positions well. So the devs decided to give us an augment that lets her move with her turret. Some good old fashions "run n gun". Hell YEAH! Oh.....but.....wait......the only way to use it is to use an ability that returns.you.to.the.same.spot.that.you.cast.it. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Love the video though. you make good content.

for more clarification holding down her 4 cancels TA and doesn't rewind you, i use it often on a normal build using the other augment that armor strips.

@@Zeninari For sure. I never meant to imply that it was bad. Wuthering Heights is also great. I recommend that one as well. I don't avoid these two for the same reasons. I have gotten all I'm going to get from The Silmarillion. And, as for Wuthering Heights; while it is a great study in human nature, it is just a miserable story completely devoid of hope.

The augment is actually worthless You can just keep using more turrets instead if you need damage and they will scale way higher while not having to use that useless 4 They should have made it so there isn't a limit on how many you can take with you and uncap the stacks it can get

20x combo limit is exactly why i subsumed her 4 to nourish. i took my own version of protea to level 1500 (cause every single build out there cant ) and it still melted everything. If i get time i will try to bring her to level cap but i need to build for it and its in theory crafting process. This shows how good is her 2 without those useless augments.

@@forcevox Sorry for late replay. That is exactly the problem, for level cap because you cant fit everything. running only turret build (specially cascade) on lvl cap you are always on the move unless you are on defending duty and unless you are stationary ,dispensary is useless even tho you need it. If you are going roar which you should for double dippin on heat and going roar instead of nourish opens mana problems. im at 327% duration and 154% strength (without molt) and 169% range but im running nourish at this moment for elite deep arch and damage is enough for until level 900 ish with ease but after that you gonna need roar and heat priming (heat inherit) and armor strip on enemies. sadly im sure it cannot kill thrax and acolytes on level cap but everything else should be fine with roar. Only option remain is using specters for roar / nourish which isn't fun. Good thing is you there is few ways to approach and build has few fun interactions. Nah this augment is shit. also just run jade helminth over proteas 4 and you get her armour strip augment for free, more consistent, faster, and extra heat procs

her augments are discusting in a bad way, they beg you to keep the trash 4th skill and in return you get 1/3 of a turret without constant recast and armor strip (50% effective). why not ditch all that nonsense and just use roar on her 4 and supercharge it? Discount xaku, thats why. wait what? and just now i see the aura mod, what are you smoking man, thats like putting hunter adrenaline on lavos.
