Why? The US govt raised the limits for radioactive materials like cesium and strontium and plutonium in food, to 1200 atomic disintegration every second!! That means there can be millions of decaying radioactive atoms in a pound of food, 1200 times what was considered as radio- active waste in the 1960's!
