Absolutely, doing essential work at the UN. But in a way, he's an exemplar of the old-style hasbara that Modi talks about: heavy-set, strongly-accented English with occasional grammar slips, more logical arguments. Israel's hasbara has matured enough that it can concern itself with seeming trivialities such as English-accented English.

We did just that in February we hugged hostage mothers picked lemons planted lettuce and made barbecues for soldiers . Visited hostage Square sderot and beers. Really felt the tragedy but also the love and the power of am yisrael

"Everybody had the responsibility to do something". So my reaction to the news of October7 was to do absolutely NOTHING!! And I mean - N O T H I N G ! ! Why? Well, I was stuck at work - in Saudi Arabia, believe it or not, and was wondering WTF am I to do? Saudi was pretty much the last place in the world where an Israeli (with a European passport too) should be stuck in such a moment, and I had another 4 months of work ahead of me. Was I able to keep my famously opinionated mouth shut? So I had to wait it out and withstand a barrage of comments and insults. So I waited. And I waited. And nobody was saying ANYTHING. The silence was deafening! So I asked a few of my Saudi friends what was going on. Why was there no criticism of Israel's response? And they all said - well, Hamas had it coming. They deserved what was happening etc etc. My assistant - a fairly trenchant Jordanian - said tat he and his compatriots were happy that Israel was sitting between them an d"the lunatics".. So the lesson is: White christian communities have. a deeper dislike of Israel than Israel's neighbours (which I knew already, but just needed to confirm). Its a messed up world....
