Ancient Ruins of Palmyra, Syria [Amazing Places 4K]
Palmyra is an ancient city in present day Syria. The city is mentioned in texts dating as early as the 19th century BCE, as a caravan oasis, but it reached its heights during Roman times, when it was an important link on the trade routes between the Roman Empire and Persia, India and China.
Palmyra is on the UNESCO World Heritage List: "An oasis in the Syrian desert, north-east of Damascus, Palmyra contains the monumental ruins of a great city that was one of the most important cultural centres of the ancient world. From the 1st to the 2nd century, the art and architecture of Palmyra, standing at the crossroads of several civilizations, married Graeco-Roman techniques with local traditions and Persian influences."(quote from whc.unesco.org/en/list/23/)
Parts of Palmyra have been destroyed by ISIS during the Syrian civil war.
Recorded April 2022 in 4K Ultra HD with Sony AX700 and DJI Pocket 2.

What a beautiful ancient city! And despite what was done to erase it by the worst of mankind,…. it is still there, and will be remembered long after they are forgotten. Thank you for bringing us with you to this wonderful place.❤️❤️❤️❤️

Opening scene itself took breath away. 19th century BCE!?! Massive, incredible, beautiful & mind blowing. My goodness, what is the light brown colour.. simply beautiful.. the architecture, the lovely orderly row of columns, arches.. man.. it is extraordinary!!❤ In oasis, a great city?? Unbelievable.. amazing.. actually tears are coming.. human mind is extraordinarily creative & beautiful!!❤
The whole set is magical, ruins, landscape and also the music.

Splendid ruins. The remnants of foregone glory.
I visited in 2008. It’s heartbreaking to see the damage. Milosh, thank you for recording in this state. Nobody knows what destruction the future will bring. There’s no appreciation of of beauty in primitive minds. 😥

Amazing
I have a video records of this place from 1980 when my grandad was there for 6 months from ONZ polish army mission. Video is about 20min long and was recorded by Quarz camera on film tape super 8. We still have the camera too. Very nostalgic to us. Thank you for that
Thanks a lot sir g ❤️❤️
Awesome video
Can’t thank you enough for an amazing video ! Palmyra stood as great as ever although it was targeted during the war! Thank you for sharing ❤❤
Maravilloso!!! Gracias!!!
Your videos are moving to me, maybe because of the music in combination with the ambience. There is still so much beauty everywhere, but some lunatics are apparently up to destroy everything, what has been carefully built by our ancestors. Here St Paul was converted on his way to Damascus with the intention to eliminate christianity. "Saul, Saul, why are you prosecuting Me?" Fortunately God speaks the final word in Christ. Thank you for sharing, Milosh, your efforts are very precious. God bless!
Syria came after it came civilization and art 🇸🇾💚
Thanks so much, for sharing this stunning place. 💕💓💕 You are triggering my imagination. Just imagine how beautiful this place must have been...could it be restored back to it's original I wonder...!?!?

Thank you, thank you, all your location picks are top of the top. This civilization taught the Romans how to be an empire after they came fought and plundered these people and took Zanoobia, (Zeinab) their Arab queen hostage to Rome, she died there after she proudly refused to marry the Caesar. Romans modeled their building after palmera and engineers taking from here built Rome.

God needed to be born a man because man is a sinner and God punishes sin with hell. I've been there. God requires blood sacrifices to atone sin. Since no man is perfect, God needed to come down and be born a man and die (sacrifice) to atone for our sins. That's why us Christians can confidently say we will go to heaven, because God himself has cleansed us. We just need to accept this gift. It is free. But to redeem the invitation accept the gift. Jesus aka God loves you ❤️ John 3:16

@@chateaumediaVery ridiculous! The Sryians are Aramaeans, not Arabs! There were some Arabic tribes in Syria (Assyria). Syria has become Arabised after the Arabic Islamic invasion. The Poenicians are just Aramaeans who inhabited the coastal line of Syria (Assyria).
@chateaumedia

@@ayhamhassan1947I have to correct you, Arabs are there since ancient times. Have you heard of Zanoobia? she's an arab queen. Nabateans etc. also a big mix of races, since Syria 🇸🇾 is a crossroads.

This place is like a mirage on the desert landscape, a veritable oasis of beauty in an otherwise desolate locale. I'd love to have seen it in its heyday!

My heart sank looking at it 😢
OHH INCREDIBUL BEAUT8FUL❤
You did well to film here. Even the forces that call themselves civilized in the Middle East are consciously destroying the traces of the past. Humanity can mourn its historical memories, and mourn long before it knew and understood them precisely. (From Hungary)
