She’s so good … I really cried hard 😭

I feel like this is justified move on her part. After everything she's done she keeps getting hurt and her heart broken over and over again.

This is my favorite scene so far in the series. Zhou Dongyu shows her film Queen skills here. Kai Kai’s teary eyes are also mesmerizing.

I just love her powerful character. It's the best😍😍😍😍😍😍

I don't blame her for doing that! After all she has done everything already trying to get qingmu back...I think it's time for her to let out all her grievances and if possible make him suffer ignore him just what he did to her so he will realize her worth. I'm really mad! She was humiliated by everyone even though she is the chief god. 😤 Let him feel what she has went through!

@@kaivalya6938 He’s like Houchi. They are the bodies that kept Bai Jue and Shanngu alive. Houchi was the person before Shanngu awakened and Qimu was the same for Bae Jue. Once Bai Jue awakened he took over Qingmu’s body. It was like Qingmu died. Houchi was married to Qingmu and is pregnant with his child. She’s completely devastated. Unfortunately Houchi must also die for Shanggu to awaken.

To me, this scene and what happened earlier are one of the saddest i've seen in all my life of watching dramas. Even after rewatching the entire series for the 3rd time, this particular episode still haunts me. Imo, both Qingmu and Houchi are the saddest characters in the series. But being a part of or rather another aspect of Baijue, at the very least Qingmu can always be split from Baijue whenever Baijue wants it, and they both retain their memories, just like in the final battle in episode 47 he was let out and was able to see Shanggu for a few moments. He still lives in Baijue's body. But not Houchi. Houchi was Shanggu's reincarnation or rather Shanggu having loss all her memories. After Shanggu's awakening, Houchi was completely gone, she just became part of Shanggu's memory, but not before having to suffer utter humilation and despise, almost dying, seeing her adopted father die in front of her, losing the one she love to the one she love that completely broke her heart. The extreme helplessness, pain and sorrow in her eyes. Her heart was almost dead, if not for her unborn child. She just wanted to be a normal person - a normal daughter, a normal wife growing old with her husband, and a normal mother. She just wanted to lead a normal life but destiny didn't let her...because she's Shanggu. Even after watching the series for the 4th time, i tend to think of them as different individuals - they had different personalities, led different lives and had different thoughts, even though they are technically the same person. And to me this makes Houchi a singular character, the saddest character. I must say Zhou Dongyu's acting skills was top-notched, especially during the part when Houchi stabbed Baijue. She showed so many layers of emotions by Houchi - initially smiling after stabbing him but then began crying bitterly, then looking at him with vindication, then perhaps having a hint of regret at the last moment... To me, Houchi is the saddest character, and my favourite character. I guess i will never in my remaining life forget this entire scene...

Thanks to their acting, I still cry when I’m reminded of baijue and shanggu love story 🥲 both of them deserved everything especially their happy love life 😭 their acting was top notch, it was incredible. Even though I was watching everything on the screen, it felt as if I was there to experience their pain as well 🤧 thanks to the directors for casting all the casts in ALP.

I understand that Bai Jue have a plan but he doesn't need to be this so cold. He knows how much Shanggu loves him. He's only hurting her. She'll find out the truth anyways if he sacrificed himself. Why not just spend his last days with her?

Because when shanguu sacrifice note come baijue know that if shangu know this she sacrifice himself at that day baijue sped a holy day with shangu but shangu know that she we'll be sacrifice but at that point she also know if baijue know I am going to sacrifice he try to save shangu that's why last day he spend day with houchi and Qhumi (sorry ) son.

Even today houchi killed baijue i would not hate her. Bcoz everyone and everything will come to an end one day, so we should appreciate what is in present. But baijue disregarded everything just so that she can be alive. He never thought from her point of view.

Thats right. Whatever the reason i really dont like how baijue doing. There are many many way to save sanggu without hurt her...but he choose the most horrible way. So what hou chi doing is justified...well i still choose qing mu style....dont like baijue

My favorite scene. Zhou Dongyu delivers it perfectly. I cried so hard. T.T specially when Bai Ju divorce her in public. I love how Go Jun sacrifice his life for Hou Chi and her baby.

This made me remember Ashes Of Love, when Yang Zi killed Deng Lun. Damn. Why so many heartbreaking scenes!

This series is something. In every series that I've watched after finishing watching the whole series I know that it ended and I can go on to other series to watch not thinking it again. But this one it linger. I know it's already ended but the emotions are still fresh I can't move on. I keep coming back. My heart is still in Ancient Love Poetry. Still crying and craving for more. Hope they can create another series with Xukai & Zhou Dongyu together. I really love their acting. Yes I now that they are not real couple in real life but their acting is what I love about them. They are perfect because they are both good actor. Good actor doesn't need to be couple they just have to portray or deliver their role effectively.

after all this he deserve it, broke her heart,she has been waiting for him but it was all in vain from the beginning, what if it is Shanggu it will really be painful to see each other get hurt,betrayed by one another

I really feel sad for Houchi, Baijue treat her so coldly not like how Qingmu treat her. It's totally way too much, his plan is to save her and die for her but damn she's hurt and she's pregnant but Baijue did nothing to protect her lmao, if not for Gujun she will be dead before Baijue can save her😅.

My thoughts exactly.....he thinks that he is protecting her ......and doing whatever it takes to make sense in the long run but he is actually hurting her I mean she is pregnant for God's sake.....and the people are calling her dirty , evil, and cheap.......and they are trying to kill her. And you think you are protecting her , baijue??!

Exactly. I understand some of his actions before this but he went too far. Imagine if Gu Jun didn't have a portion of Shanggu's original being power (which Bai Jue didn't even know he have) then she & their child would have been dead here. So what is the used of him hurting her again & again to save her life later on when she will die here anyway because of his stupid plans. She is only alive because Gu Jun sacrificed himself. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Also Bai Jue purposely hurt her many times so she will hate him & won't be hurt when he died for her BUT in the end Tianci told everything to Shanggu anyway so what is this all for?! He hurt her so much so she hates him but she finds out of his plan in the end & was hurt even more. He should have just been honest from the start and spend his days happily w/ her then sacrificed himself later. He made things complicated. I really do not understand his choices.

All i can say is we watch and judge frm d end but nothing goes the way Baijue plans too. He only wants her safe. Didnt expect her to fall for him again (Qingmu), got to break her heart like short term pain is better thn long term but damn so much happens after tht. Didn expect his power only back 50% or less and Wuhuan power is higher. He also didnt expect Wuhuan destroyed Houchi veins tht seconds while fighting with Tianqi.

@@ztaoexolisaguanlin5675 Tianqi didn't tell her anything important-- He told her about Houchi and Qingmu, so she would understand who Yuanqi was to her and Bai Jue and why everyone was being weird about her and Houchi, but he didn't tell her why she'd become Houchi in the first place. When Bai Jue sacrificed himself, the bracelet that contained her sealed memories cracked and she remembered everything that happened to her as Houchi, as well as before that. He didn't hurt her to make her hate him, per se-- He played the bad guy because he knew Wuhuan was shady and probably evil and he was going to sort all of that out before he sacrificed himself in Shangu's place. He put distance between them on purpose because he was reasonably afraid that she would figure out what he was trying to do and go and sacrifice herself again. It's why he was so upset that Gu Jun let Houchi marry Qingmu. Gu Jun refused them for a long time because he knew the same thing Bai Jue knew, which was that a relationship between them was only going to hurt them both more once everything was said and done, but Qingmu and Houchi didn't understand their true identities until afterwards, and Bai Jue wasn't going to stop saving Shangu just because they were both hurt. Still, what could Gu Jun do? Houchi and Qingmu only came to exist in the first place because Bai Jue refused to let go of Shangu. As if Houchi and Qingmu would be any different.

Houchi was never the vengeful type. She played tricks, sure, but she was never out for anyone's blood until she lost Qing Mu and saw her father die in front of her. She endured humiliation and criticism because her loved ones were there with her but now that they're gone, she gave her all and retaliated against the injustice that she experienced. The scene where she died was really sad, she seems to exhausted and hopeless, she was ready to give up.

This ep made me cry like a baby. Had swollen eyes the next day , and no matter how many times I watched it, seeing Houchi cry like a baby made me cry too😭

After i finish the drama...i realized that worth watching....hate the feelings of being hooked 😥😥😥i feel houchi

One thing i don't understand with this part is, i know that he make that cold gesture to push her away. But man, seriously? She almost dead by Wu Huan. AND YOU DID NOTHING? Are you even want her dead in the first place? Like come on man. Act by situation.

Yes.. She would've died because her spiritual vein has been cut... But still he did nothing except to stand there like statue.... Gu Jun wouldn't been died if bai ju took a stand... So sad for houchi's father... 😞😒🥺

Which is why I don't understand why Bai Jue fans kept defending his action here as him wanting Houchi/Shanggu to hate him so she won't be hurt once he sacrifice himself later on because SHE IS FREAKING ABOUT TO DIE ALONGSIDE THEIR SON! I repeat she is about to die. Her spiritual vein is cut! Now tell me what is the use of him doing all of this if she die here anyway?! He won't even get to sacrifice himself for her during the Tribunal later on if she die here now. LOL She only survived here thanks to Gu Jun sacrificed! There is no excuse for Bai Jue's action in this scene. He should have taken action.

Baijue cant saved her even if he wanted to coz she is just Houchi, her original being destroyed when her veins were destroyed by Wuhuan. He didnt knw Gujun secretly keeping Shanggu pieces of original beings and feeding its energy within himself. Gujun died when he return her original beings which has alredi blend with his. Thts why she is chief coz her original beings can absorbs anything including baijue power in chpt 3.

People keep thinking that Bai Jue should spend the last days with Hou Chi to avoid her of the heart ache now, but they don't realize that a short term bliss will lead to a long term suffering. There's that saying that goes, the deeper you love, the more it will hurt later. Bai Jue wanted to minimise this pain for her in the long run by making her to let go of this futile relationship now, so she won't be hurt later when that time comes. If she found out later what he's planning, she will stop him and that's not what Bai Jue wants. Let's take a moment to recall back to the past when they spent their last days together, before Shang Gu cruelly left Bai Jue to follow her destiny.... how did Bai Jue felt then? He knew it will only hurt more later when its time to say good bye so he's trying to prevent this on his end. Anyways for me, I understand why Bai Jue did what he did. For me personally, the fact that he have to be cold to her now and hurting her like this was never his intention to begin with, but because of what happened between Qing Mu and Hou Chi, he had to make adjustments to his plans. I actually felt for Bai Jue when she stabbed him.... to me, it isnt only Hou Chi hurting, but Bai Jue is hurting equally as much to see her like this...

Yeah....but he could have done something....i mean she was pregnant for God's sake........so...atleast some other way of cutting her off.....and he could have reprimanded her himself instead of letting someone else humiliate her........i was so sad that they called her cheap and evil and dirty........ Anyways i haven't watched the drama.....so can you please tell me if he actually gets married to the other woman.........

Plus with his character, he wouldn't have changed a plan he already had to change, because of qingmu and houchis relationship. They have definitely made this a lot more dramatised then the novel. But it's still good. Plus wouldn't hurt us (the audience) as much if he did it more kindly right? I mean I remember this scene very vividly (gu jun 😭😭😭) but that's what makes it a good scene

@@Anastasia-0901 Although, I do like how he treated her when she woke up as shanggu, he definitely treated her with more respect in the novel as a fellow high God, then how he did in the drama. Also shanggu shows the arrogance of a high God in the novel much better, she doesn't cry as often as she does in the drama in comparison to the novel which I really liked. Because realistically she is I a higher position then everyone she is around, and she owns that. Whereas Baijue still treats her with respect rather than disregard

I didn't know the context behind this scene until I finished watching then read the comments but somewhere in the background i felt my heart breaking for her and that speaks a lot about her abilities as an actress 😭 isn't she the one who played a teenager that accidentally killed her bully in a scuffle then her boyfriend admitted to the crime?

I really cant imagine how bai jue felt when he had to act like the most villain one to the one and only love of his everlasting life😨 I bet he doesnt avoid that sword because he felt that he deserved to get stab by shang gu after what he had done to her in that lifetime😂

Even if Bai jiu is doing everything for her sake but the way he is dealing situations is too cruel i can't understand if I will hate him or appreciate his love for her . I really wish their misunderstanding will solve soon

The scene that bai jue is crying is very sad and also the part that shanggu which is houchi lost every thing is also very sad and also very touching

I still cry even I watched this episode 10th time specially when Gu Jun died for Houchi as if everything has meanings and it is not Houchi and Qingmu's fault they are just created by Bai Jue for his plan and never had a chance to choose their lives 😢 I feel sad but like how our creator give us struggles to look at the better picture and even it ended up loosing our loved ones there is still bigger reason behind it ☺

I don't understand why Bai Jue has to resort to drastic measures and sacrifice himself completely just to defeat Wu Han? He's a True God so as Houchi. There are many ways to get rid of her without hurting the one you love. We are hurting because we refuse to share and let others feel your pain too. It takes two tango. They are husband and wife, both have swear and had take an oath to be together until their last breath.

He was not willing to sacrifice his life just for Wu Huan. He was sacrificing himself in the Tribulation.

Imagine Shanggu realises Baijue pretended to be crule to her for saving her and the world and she stabbed him by using the sword he made her.

愛和恨的交織，看得心痛。

No need for you to cried for him shanggu/houchi. After all u already had kid with Qingmu. No need begging for weakling like baijue

She's lived a life of misery & suffering... At the end Bai Jue's so called 'love' was the sole reason for all of her grievances. The choices he made in the name of his so called 'love' brought the 2 of them even more tragedy especially for Shanggu in this 2nd chance. It's better that he died.
