Ancient And Historical Malot Temple In Kallar Kahar Chakwal Of Punjab Pakistan
In this video we will show you the 1044 years old and ancient temple which is called “Malot Temple” and will also provide information about Malot Fort. This Malot Temple and Malot Fort was constructed by Raja Mal and in fact Malot Temple was constructed inside the Malot Fort which is situated on the peak of a high mountain 3000 feet above from sea level. The area of this Malot Fort was 2.5 miles and this Temple and Fort was constructed according to Kashmiri, Greece and local architecture. Hindu Royal family along with a large number of Hindus lived inside this Fort. Now the Malot Fort has eliminated and Malot Temple is remain on the peak of the mountain between deep ditches. This Temple was constructed on 6 to 7 feet high platform and this Temple is 19 meter high. This old building is made with red sand bricks and describe about that these bricks were loaded on horse and camels and brought from India to Chakwal at that time. Chakwal is an ancient city of Pakistan and a large number of Hindus lived here before partition. Katas Raj Temple is also situated on a short distance which is a holy place for Hindus and it is mention in the holy book of Hindus "Ma Bharata" which is the book before Hazrat Essa (A.S). That is why The Malot Fort and Malot Temple is also called the gateway of Katas Raj. When Sultan Mahmood Ghaznavi attacked on Subcontinent than this area was the way of foreign attackers. Sultan Mahmood Ghaznavi along with his Sufi saints invited Raja Mal to embrace Islam and Raja Mal and his companions embraced Islam than this Temple became the defeated and destroyed. This area is called Malot also today with the name of Raja Mal, which was the Chief of Janjua family. According to different traditions shivling was installed in this Temple and that was why the worship of shivling here. We cannot call it the "Buddhism Temple" but the locals relate this Temple with "Buddhism" but this is not fact. According to another tradition this Malot Fort and Malot Temple was constructed by Hindus pandawa. People seek treasure here in which antiques, icons and gold coins include and they damage this precious building after dug. This Temple is now in deserted but the Government has constructed road till this Temple which this is situated at the top of High Mountain in this area. Malot Fort has discovered in 1860 during the Geological Survey of India. Now the Punjab Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan has paid little bit attention on this Temple and it opened for tourists. Archaeology Department Of Pakistan has renovated this Temple in 2021 and constructed a boundary walls her so that no incident takes place due to hill station. I hope you will enjoy this video.

Can you explain the small white monument on top of the manor. Dies not look like a mandir and seems to be a later construction. Is there. Any close shot view possible? Seems answer of some other lobby.

It was later repaired and painted white by the government. This dome is already built. There is no way to climb it.Sorry for this
