Test and review of Ancel VD500 - #scan tool designed for Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda cars. The device can connect with all #VAG control modules (engine, transmission, airbags, suspension, instrument cluster, HVAC, multimedia system, ABS, central electronics, comfort module...) so you can read and clear fault codes from those units. You can also check current coding of selected module and its part number.
On top of that there are built-in functions to reset service inspection reminder message, set electronic parking brake (EPB) to service position and perform throttle body (TB) calibration.
Ancel VD500 also have general OBD2 protocol communication, which lets you connect with any other car that supports OBD2 standard. With that you can read and clear ECU fault codes in cars other that VAG (Audi, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen).
It's a great device for small repair shops or car wash/detailing shops. For example, if you often need to disconnect front seats for interior cleaning and later you have to clear the airbag error code.

Very handy tool. Was able to reset my car’s airbag warning light ( I detached the airbag plug while repairing the fan blower, had the key on and the system automatically thinks theres an airbag fault) and the engine warning light ( adblue heater tank 😡😭). Thank you for your review and advice

Should do it as well as the VD700. Both can connect with all modules and both can clear fault codes in them.
Hi, I have my VW TOURAN 1.6 102 KM BSE 2009r. Ancel VD500 working with my car?
Hi! I recently got this code reader and updated it via their software. However, for many of the systems listed under "V/A All Systems", the device could not communicate with it. Anyone else have this issue or know a workaround?

Maybe that's a silly question, but are you sure that your car is equipped with modules that you are trying to communicate to? Was it working before in this car?

@@mrfixpl Haha, yeah it was a dumb question from me. I misread 2 of the systems (the driver seat and passenger seat)... I thought it was just for the seats in general like diagnosing power seats, but pretty sure it's for the seat's position memory...which I don't have.
Can it be used on Audi s6 2000model?
Clearing the fault code doesn’t make the problem go away though does it?

Correct. 1. Read codes, 2. Fix it, 3. Clear codes.
How about checking transmission fluid temperature for the purpose of doing a DSG fluid change?

No, you can't view live data with this one. But please check NT510 review which I just uploaded. There's a lot that you can do with that.

I want a device that can disable GPS can it disable GPS in European and Japanese cars And ideally access metadata. what's the difference between the different models some say Pro

@@janisvinters8797 in Audi you can reset oil reminder with button combination or from infotainment screen. Service reminder reset requires diagnostic tool.

Toyota is not part of VAG.
Did not work to erase error codes for engine and air bag on 2005 VW Jetta.

What faults code you are getting? Have you fixed the faults before trying to erase the codes?

@@mrfixpl if you mean did I repair the faults, no. I did not expect it to repair my car. I did expect it to turn the lights off for inspection and then get the car repaired.

It's designed for all VAGs, so it should work in Mii as well.
