I think I've actually commented this before... but this is by far the best I've ever heard these guys live. I watched them in Louisville when the play with Story of the Year back in '05 and wasn't very impressed. Stephen is incredible, but he overdubs a bit too much in the studio. Finally having more than one person to help him out with vocals on stage makes a huge difference.

Be sure to see them on the US Warp tour. They are as Mr Burns would say "an EXXX-Cellent" band that actually can play their instruments live and sing with some great harmonies. Great lyrics too.

every band i see on youtube live sounds so much different than when i actually get to see them live, dont get discouraged by youtube videos of performances or anything, when actually seeing them, they are pretty amazing

i've seen a many bands live...... but there aren't a lot that sounds better than anberlin. stephen..... your vocal chords are wicked cool

the producer made anberlin's sound in this song's recorded version sound amazing (along with the rest of the album). They do a good job of making it sound as best as it did on the album. Kudos to them. I saw them live at warped tour at the gorge in washington and they sounded great. It took me a while to get used to their recorded music (cuase its not typically my style) and they are now my current favorite band.

Greg- i just listened to Dissapear, and i have to concur they are very very simular. I would attribute this to their lack of diversity within their own music.. I think both are good, and I just saw Anberlin live and i was blown away. I am a new listener though.. but i just appreciate their unique style and their message..so i feel for ya but....

The First time I ever even heard of Anberlin was at a live show. The energy was amazing. I think the TV guys didn't care how the band sounded and didn't get everything dialed. Oh, and Anberlin is awesome.

I'm gonna have to agree with you Neilwhatever...They've proven many times to be a great band live. Just because they don't do things like you doesn't mean you need to bag on them. He's an amazing singer live, and you can't say crap about it.

They already are. Christian used to be pretty bad live (back in 04 and such) this video is from early last year, if not late '07 and they have gotten to be VERY good recently..

his voice is good. i heard him live twice. its good enough. jus dun comment if ur going to say sth bad.
