Anatomy Quick Tips: Eyes

A not-so-quick guide for various aspects of drawing the human eye from imagination. This is the most important feature of the face, and if you want to draw appealing character faces, you should spend the bulk of your time on eyes.
Let me know what part of the human anatomy you would like to see more information on drawing! Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

You guys are both great. I signed up Udemy courses on art (several fundamentals etc) but there is too much fluff, not enough info I felt like on certain ones. Thanks for all the work you all put into your channels. I consider myself a 'novice' but still am getting my mind blown by you guys.

as someone who absolutely cannot apply things to my art unless i’m given an explanation to exactly HOW and WHY it is that way, this video was really helpful. never been a fan of tutorials or videos who just give one example and say ‘Okay, this is the right way to do it!’ with no further nuance so loved this vid and all the vids on your channel. been a silent follower for years but since i struggle so greatly with eyes this one in particular saved me lolol

22:50 that kinda reminds me of a woman i met when i was a kid, me and my friends called her "beautiful eyes lady", and her name was "linda" that means beautiful in portuguese. She had the most crazy eyes we had ever seen, it was really clear the green, blue and yellow on it, even more visible than the painting. She said even she didn't know exactly what her eye color was, but we called it "brazilian color", cuz it had all the colors in our flag. Now i kinda want to draw it, if i can remember.

Wow! I love this, the reflections on the eye made me smile so much, it's like watching a magician doing a trick in slow motion, but it's just as impressive once you see the method as it is when it appears to be magic.

Im learning a lot from your KZread vids. You educate us about the basics unlike others who just show you how to draw one thing and its all over from there. Your tips are very practical. I now know how to experiment and come up with my own pieces.

You have so much knowledge to share, length is not something I would worry about. In fact, when searching for how to paint eyes, I went for your video because of the thumbnail plus the length. I love in depth tutorials, I don´t want to just copy what you show, I want to understand. Thank you very much for the video!

I felt you stating how long each eye took you helps relieve this anxiety of feeling like my digital paintings should be super fast. I don't know what to attribute it to. I feel heightened sense of "need for turnaround" which steals the joy of playtime that I allow myself with traditional media. It's nice to have a reminder that even the best take time.
