I respect them so much for learning English in such a short time. Umar, Usman and Tagir don’t have much time in America and speak very well. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t matter for the actual fight, but it shows a well rounded commitment to the big picture. It’s easier for me to follow them when I can understand what they are saying. I’m sure the English interviews are tough for them, but they do a great job.

I remember Khabib saying 'You have to learn English to promote yourself'. All up I think he speaks 4 languages. It shows dedication, how many fighters still in UFC who have been there longer and still don't speak English!!

respect to the eagle team, they all realise the importance of improving their english so they can undertake their own interviews without translators, Thats a BIG thing., something Aldo should have done during his own reign.

Gotta give credit to athletes who don't necessarily have the time or commitment to learn foreign languages as kids, to learn English as adults. Very few adult American athletes start speaking a different language.

these dagestan fighters, they look tired when interviewed or photoshot. but i the cage they were lions.

Dagestan is modern day Olympus. If you live on the hills life is tough as nails. Your body has to get used to living on minimum oxygen and you're always either walking up or down, never in a straight line. When you come down to sea level you are literally god. Anybody remember Adonis? Them Zeus lot were gods because sea level people couldn't complete with their mountain king physiques. Greeks and Romans called all their important people Son of God. So when the Romans needed their people to believe in some rules they bring in Isa the rock throwing rebel from Falasteen. And then Isa becomes son of God and this is partly why everybody today so mad at the Catholic Church.
