These videos have been invaluable to me because you draw over pictures of the skeleton and muscles demonstrating how the lines you draw actually map to the 3D forms. It helps me tremendously in my understanding! Thank you!

I'll keep that in mind for a future video, but I think one of the most important things you can work on is your linework skill

I think this is the first time i've been able to actually take in and remember a method that is abstract enough to visualise but also detailed enough to properly explain the form, this is fantastic!

I really like how you always go in-depth with every part of the muscles and make it clear on where they connect with the bones. It may be a bit difficult to memorize all the muscle strands and names but i'm glad you're continuing this series of videos, epsecially with the shorts. Also this is a ceritfied "neuron activation" video, abs are amazing.

Hey there, wanted to say thank you for your tutorials! I've wanted to practice drawing anatomy for a long time now, but I never had the confidence to start. Your videos, however, have inspired me to finally try to explore my love for human beauty in my art, and soon I'll pick up a new sketchbook just for that purpose.

Thank you so much for these videos. You go over so many important things. Proportions, landmarks like the belly button and how far they fall in comparison with other body parts, bones, muscle origin and insertion points, the angles of the top of the ribcage to the sternum, even fat distribution. Most art teachers on KZread never touch in half these things, and I’m grateful you are.

I love how you explain it over actual anatomy. Most videos I see dont ever explain the bones/muscles and its actually really easy to understand once you see the actual parts of the body. I'd love to see how to do arms and hands if you can! I really struggle with those

Can you tell me on what you were drawing in the video, I would like to start to draw on electronic devices but I don't know if I need a tablet or if the best choice is on computer. I would like to still use a pen to draw so could you give me some advice please?

  • @excaliblader

I'm using a Huion Kamvas 22 Tablet. Every drawing tablet requires a computer to be used, unless you want to use an iPad, which is a valid option too. I'd suggest picking up a cheap drawing tablet to start with though, something in the $60-$80 range would work. As for the brand XP-pen and Huion are both good to start with

  • @excaliblader

There isn't really an easy answer for that, I'd say start by drawing the guidelines for the muscles and then add volume to the areas where you want the character to be muscular
