Anatoly Bykov defeats the great Czech wrestler Macha in the final. dominating him in a match 9 minute match...a little different than today rules.
Bykov capped a string of world cadet , junior and senior world titles with an Olympic title. dominating his weight class while weighing in 73kg you can see how much bigger Macha is , but Bykov is stoic and calm throughout ....technically one of the best of all time
a legend from Kazakstan, Anatoly now makes his home in Montreal

Anatoly was by far the best wrestler in this tournament - not just 74 kgs but all weight classes. This performance was one of the most dominant and exciting I've ever seen.

My father, Ferenc Kocsis, beat him in Moscow (1980) in the final match, he said Bykov was one of the strongest and most skilled wrestlers he ever met.
