ANATOLII vs ASH - IPF WORLDS 2024
WHAT A BATTLE between the ukraine lifter Anatolii Novopysmennyi and american lifter Ashton Rouska! They fought for the world title with every kilo they had in them and ended up with the same total, divided by bodyweight.
A lot was at stake with this: the world title, the Sheffield 2025 invite and the ticket to the 2025 World Games.

Still.. it could’ve been the determining factor. Side view was OBVIOUSLY HIGH. About 2 inches high… but the “strictest” refs needed a competition I guess..

Bro 100% of peeps clicked on here expecting to see an unassuming janitor interrupt this competition to clean the floor and outlift everyone.
Ashton could easily win sheffield since he hadn't a perfect day at all and didn't push to hard
Ashton had 380+ dl, he just wanted to win without problems. Just superior
wait so SSJBob just didn't want to destroy Ashton and Anatoli so he competed at 120kg weighing 105.9kg?... would Bob easily win Sheffield putting up a 970kg+ total in the 105?..

bodyweight, if their bodyweight was the same it would be based on lot number, which is a randomly assigned number to each lifter.

Ashton pulls one day conventional one day sumo in a training week, he says he's saving his conventional for sheffield since it's his preferred stance. He's also missed a weight sumo on his second attempt and then lifted it conventional on his third in meets in the past

Would’ve been cool to see him try a little more. I think Ashton had even more on his dead lift though.
