@@dariiofernando The point is that these 3 bands are from Peaceville Records and English bands, that is why they are mentioned together, although The Gathering is dutch and have no connection whatsoever with them.

My favorite overall band. Their death-doom era was good, the goth metal was better, the prog pop even better. They are just great at making music, period.

I'm glad you decided to listen to Anathema. Their style changed from the ancestors of doome-death to prog metal (Weather system - Untouchable). In the 95th, the Anathemites (album The Silent Enigma, Pantecost) rose to an incredible height, previously occupied only by Tiamat, and left far behind their compatriots (Plost, MDB, Cathedral), as well as other competitors (Gathering, Amorphis, Crematory, etc.). Stunning in its non-smoothness and at the same time highly artistic, noble, typically English, this magnificent album is the pearl of rock music of the 90s. I would be glad to see reviews on their compositions My Dying wish, The Silent enigma, Kingdom etc on your channel

The way the mood switched for the guy reacting, all I can say is: I feel you 100%. That was my reaction when my older brother showed me this band and this exact song. My brother is an OG metalhead for his entire life yet he listens to Anathema because they are out of this world. Their songs are something from another dimension. P.S I was bawling my eyes out at this song.

An inspo of Cradle of Filth no less (haven't watched the video, you probably know this) CoF has shouted out the band covertly in lyrics (as they did My Dying Bride and Paradise Lost) and also covered their (anathemas) song Sleepless. A truly amazing rabbit hole.
