You got a good game sis. I like how you are always stepping in and staying down on your groundies. Nice pop on that forehand.

Ok, a couple suggestions. You ready? I’ve helped/coached/trained many players get college tennis scholarships . You’re good. You’re athletic. But, 1. Do another video rallying with a men’s 5.0 or a UTR 9-10. Your feeder is feeding balls my intermediates can hit. Film another video hitting, not with feeds. Your forehand loop is way too high. Clean and shorten up the backswing. Your backhand is good. Serve too. I coached on ATP Tour and trained ITF juniors at the international academies. You’re good. Keep improving though. And do another video.

10000000000% a few tips to make it a way stronger video. Don't start with Volleys... many college recruits can't really volley and many learn it in College. I've never seen a recruitment video with a drive volley... This isn't a common shot in tennis I would skip it entirely. Also your coach is spoon feeding the ball. Anyone can look great with easy feeding. I'm assuming the Serve is a major weakness of yours that's why you only showed yourself and not the result (Smart) but playing a few points with a strong player would actually show your potential. If I was a recruiter. This video would worry me a lot. No match play, baby fed balls, not showing the serve results. Makes me wonder if what you're trying to not show. That's 2018! Hope all it worked out.

Dude, I agree 1000000%! We wish her well and age that she’s good but you gotta make another video (I know, it was 2018!). You HAVE to show yourself rallying with someone good. And play some actual points. And when a coach feeds you, have him/her drill the feeds like a high performance coach would. Incidentally, her overhead was really awesome. But you don’t get college scholarships on being able to hit relatively easy lobbed overheads. Should have changed the forehand grip four years ago when you were 14. It’s completely Western. That being said, I think I speak for both of us when we say, we hope you got a scholarship and had a successful college tennis career. You’re talented. Let us know how you did. What college did you play for? What’s your UTR rating? Ok, keep enjoying your tennis journey!

Usa players lack volley and diversity, i wouldn’t say the volley (from short to longer ones) aren’t a common shot

PS. Your serve is really, really good technique. Show us some kick second served though and some actual points. And let us know how you do. Good luck.

i read that and I agree... i mean.. the guy is feeding her balls that are basically really high so her swing has to be high. Perhaps showing 1-2 minutes of playing with low level and faster balls would showcase a different dimension of her game. ?? so i agree.

@maccajoe he means there is insufficient coil in her legs. Also what I see is she could stay more sideways on serve, she really serves with her arm and a little help of legs. Result - weak serve

I know the OTI instructors (Florian Meier in particular) have a great video out talking about the legs when serving. I would agree that the knee bend here is pretty minimal. Seeing a bit more energy coming up from the legs and into the serve would help. Nice arabesque technique at the end. She clearly has put a lot into her serve. But it can still be improved, as I mentioned.

why not using the big muscles with your left arm straight and stretched to the side to get the rotation power and not that big swing, that takes your time away to load and use the big muscles. You hit the ball well but where is the flip that the ATP players use. everybody can do that
