Ananthashayanam means 'sleeping on the serpent Anantha.' Lord Vishnu is in a reclining yoganidra position on Anantha, the Seshanaga, in Vaikunta in this painting. His head and feet are resting on the laps of his wives Sridevi and Bhumidevi, respectively. Vishnu's weapons have been depicted uniquely.
