I think the goal was to establish mutual respect also despite the differences in opinion and goals of both nations, and it was clear that we are putting our foot down and will stand up for our territory. China has a 7 point plan for it's territorial expansion the first of which includes Taiwan and the south China sea and we are in the way, but every Filipino will stand up to any tyranny that will undermine it's safety, right and sovereignty.
