Few hours till the exam, so this'll be the final video I watch, and I couldn't thank you enough for helping me with the text revision. I managed to get a 9 (53/60) on my coursework, and seeing as this is my best, and likely only chance, to get the same or a similar mark on my GCSE, I'm terrified I'm going to blow it lmao. Thanks for the suggestion, but there are a multitude of ways to compare the texts other than using FLAP so it wouldn’t be useful for all. I do plan to create a video to help with Q5 before the next exams.

yes,just start with a comparison eg. Both texts portray chaos. then go into one of the texts with a quote and explain effect then go onto the other text and do the same.

Some great analysis in here so thank you for that but I think you are viewing the text with a far too cynical perspective. There really is little to no evidence, for example, of 'the Kibla donkey is said to achieve speeds of 40kph' being patronising and evaluating the author's work in a critical perspective is of no value in this instance anyway since there are no marks for it in the exam.

Hi Scott, This would be relevant for the first bullet point for AO2: "Perceptive understanding..." It is important to consider alternative interpretations of the text. She may not have been patronizing, but she could very well have been. More importantly, it gives you the opportunity to make reference to the use of the dash which helps give emphasis to details she relays about the donkey. She certainly feels this detail about their speed is of importance. Whether she thinks it is important because it is laughable or genuinely impressive is up for debate.

On line 2, I thought it was interesting how she referred to them as "lads" perhaps this shows her initial confidence in her surroundings because of the colloquial language, which can be compared to the end where you can sense she's a bit more nervous.
