Appreciate it, we only see highlight reels of goals in today’s age. Missing the whole build up to the play so players learn absolutely nothing ! It’s also great to cover individual clips of players to show not every action you do on the ball has to be a killer pass or dribble, setting players expectations right

Great video! A video on Kroos at some point would be great as he’s prob the greatest midfield conductor of our generation, but even huge fans of him like me can’t fully understand his genius fully.

You’re right we need a defender soon, to be honest i have a lot more knowledge in the attacking side of the game this is why, but recently ive been studying a lot more defending as this is of course just as important, and so many defenders are reaching out, i got you 🤝🏼

Wow I never thought of the similarities between chess and football. Not that I know how to play chess I'm an experienced connect 4 guy though. But still it's all about strategy like you have shown, just need to work on my touch and dribbling/ ball carrying. Quality!

I scan a lot more than earlier in my career, but I struggle recieving the ball right now because I scan more than I used to, any tips on that ? I do 1-2 scans while ball is coming to me and then I cannot recieve it well although I know where should I recieve it

That’s good you scan more. The hard part is scanning as the ball is coming to you for sure, because you’ve built the habit which iOS the first step that’s a big positive, now its learning what cues and triggers to look for

Learn a body feint or a corceta, as a CAM I can relate to this all I use are body feints and corcetas basically no skill

Move off the ball in a way that allows you to release the ball quickly. For example, come short to recieve the ball, and play with few touches. Pass and move and get it back. Make runs behind the defense and shoot early. And always scan the back 4 to see where the space is for you to pass, move, or shoot. And work on your dribbling at home as well.

@@AnselTazehthis is a great point, in this analysis we saw how Young delt with an aggressive defender a lot of the time with no dribbling. Coming short, bringing the defender with him and then spinning in behind. As well as 1-2’s

One of my biggest problems recently has been playing against high pressing teams. As a CB I recognize it, but i lose the ball too often. Any tips?

Distances, being as far away from possible as your GK and other CB whilst still keeping a safe passing lane for them both. This will give you an extra second on the ball. Also baiting to pass somewhere and watching how the pressing players react. They will probably shift over to block that passing lane (giving you more time) and then making someone else free. Maybe you’re faking to play to the FB, then watching how the pressing winger moves over, but in the back of your mind you’re watching your CDM too. When the winger moves across now he is free
