I don’t care what people say about the prequels. Anakin’s story and especially his relationship with his mother was one of the strongest arcs in all of sw for me. Take the clone wars show and ahsoka into that and it is even better!

Arnav Bhattacharjee yoda failed as well, he was the grandmaster of the order his word had the most sway, he was just as untrusting of Anakin, the difference is he tried to at least get to the root of it but he and the Jedi order as a whole had become very arrogant and contradictory, Yoda specifically talked about fear in the prequels, how it leads to darkness, well fearing and suppressing your natural feelings will do the same, instead of being someone he could confide in, they made him fear the Jedi order itself Incase they ever truly found out, the clone wars series also gives a lot of background into Anakins distrust and tbh a lot of it was rightful, the Jedi had become dangerously unbalanced, being the top force users for over a thousand years, they had become so arrogant and sure that the force was ultimately on their side that they let the most powerful force user in existence be corrupted and entranced in the dark side, only because they feared his emotion, abandoned his mother to slavery and death, and mistreated him, so yeah yoda was a generally good master but even he knew he failed, anakin and the Jedi, that’s why obi wan became so flexible in his old age, he realized the tragedy of Anakin was entirely the fault of the Jedi

EXACTLY! My man asked and begged for help but no one lent him a hand. So I do not blame him at all for taking the chance to save the one he loved by joining to dark side. I would have to save my family.

The Sith believed in him. The Empire believed in him. Padme believed in him. Luke believed in him. Qui-Gon believed in him. Palpatine believed in him. But the Jedi didn't.

As his mother said he could not stop the change yet he tried so desperately to fight it. Tragic story but brilliant. Brilliant video

Yes, and she accepted that where she was was her home, where she belonged. Anakin had only to follow her example and accept the fact that he belonged with Obi-Wan. Missing her was understandable, but not controlling that led to his downfall.

I loved rogue one so much because the Vader scene at the end truly felt like anakin... 😵 hence why I did the parallels there :)

The saddest part was that Anakin didn’t want power to rule or kill. He wanted to save those he loved.

This video really highlights how amazing Hayden's facial acting is. Like, wowww. He was excellent at conveying emotions, especially the anger. 2:35 - 3:00 includes some really strong examples. 4:15 + 4:16 are also two of my favorite shots. When he's strangling Obi-Wan, that dead look of determination. Dang.

“You were my brother Anakin, I loved you..” Every time I hear these words I’m shook. Why does this have to be such a beautiful story? Why do I lean to feel any little bit of hurt anakin did? Most people say he did a terrible job of playing Anakin, but the way he says the most heartbreaking things, the way his eyes look when he’s feeling regret, sadness, or doubt. Everything about Hayden’s performance was perfect. The look, the pain, the hate. Every time I watch ROTS I plead that Ani will understand that everything bad that happens doesn’t need a violent solution, but it always ends the same. I don’t know a better story then the story of Anakin Skywalker, the chosen one.

Man Anakins story is so depressing yet so beautiful. I’ve never in my life cried for a movie or for a fictional character but anakins story is definitely the closest i’ve got to crying it makes is so hard not to its crazy.. Easily my favorite character ever.

Anakin Skywalker was my hero. He was back when I was a kid, and in fact still is. Sure, he did things not worth forgiving him for, but I related to him much more on a personal level. Granted, I didn't look up to him when I was growing up, but once I reunited with the SW fan inside me, it was incredibly heartwarming to see that there was a character out there that was...well, just like me, put plainly. Someone who wasn't good with words, someone who was emotionally confused at many points, had friends that he couldn't save or help in their times of need, and someone who was nearly brought down by bullies instilling this...terrible sense of loneliness and aggression. Growing up, I always felt that no one shared what I felt, like I was this one-in-a-million mistake that people shunned only because I failed them once and all other expectations went from either non-existent to inhumanely high. When I rekindled my love for Star Wars and started by watching the prequels and originals, I saw myself. I saw someone that I felt, for the first time in a long time, understood what I felt and went through. And watching Anakin fulfilling his destiny...and rising up to be a hero to his end while saving whatever was still left of him and his son...the moments from his fall to his rise gave a lot of strength in my times of crisis. I will never be able to repay the various people who brought Anakin to life for doing that. From George, to David, to Sebastian, and of course, to Hayden, Mat, and Matt. In the vast sea of Marvel Heroes one can relate to, or the DC Heroes you can aspire to, Anakin Skywalker did more towards inspiring me and empowering my own self-confidence than any of those characters ever did (well, except Superman, because...well, it's Superman). Thank you Anakin Skywalker. Thank you for being my hero at the crossroads of my life...when no other character could be. Vader is the best. A sad tragedy, but a great character arch. We can all relate to anakin in someway. He was a dreamer, and was a passionate emotional person who cared deeply for others. Who wouldn’t want to save the ones they love no matter the cost? Obviously it destroyed anakin turning him to darth. So great and such an iconic character. He was a man who became broken by his own hands.

I can't watch a Vader tribute without crying. I love Vader's story so much. So much tragedy and his redemption.

This is why..... this is why we are all so passionate about Star Wars. We grew up with these tales. We were with Luke in Cloud City when he found out who his father was. Then we went with Anakin on his journey and we all have loved so deeply that we would have done anything for the one we loved. We have all felt the loss and the despair that Vader felt every day of his life. We have all fought to overcome the dark feelings that threaten every day to take over. We all can relate to Anakin and we all wish we had a brother like Kenobi. We have all sat at some time and felt the darkness on the edges, and wondered what it would be like to give in to that. We have all hoped someone would believe in us. Redeem us. This is why we are so passionate about Star Wars. This is what Disney doesn't understand. We are Star Wars......

Im so happy, that all the kids from the prequels starting era now adults that are rising their voice and give love to the prequels. Hayden finally gets his recognition and love he always deserved.

I also feel that way. Padme and Anakin both had no chieldhood because he was slave and she was royalty, later he was Jedi and she was senator both put duty first and later start living in lie and that led to Palpatine controlled them without them knowing and ending is just tragic. RotS is tragic for everyone except Palpatine. Anyway great video and you deserve atleast 200k subs more. Continue with great work and you'll be there.

So much beauty even in the darkest of times

How I feel throughout watching. 0:10 - Ouch...already..? 0:54 - A young child who doesn't know what dangers lie in the path of his life :( 3:24 - "Is she safe..? Is she alive..?" :( 4:33 - "Let me look on you with my own eyes..." "I've got to save you." *"You already have Luke....tell your sister, she was right..."* All he wanted was to have his mother back and have a family. All of it was taken from him. No matter what he did or what he felt, he most likely knew what he was doing was wrong, but he was doing it because he feels he must be punished for not saving his ma or Padame in time.

I only wish that Lucasfilm was smart enough to have had Anakin and Luke interact in this so called sequel trilogy...A very big missed opportunity..
