Why does CO poisoning gives High false values and not low values. Since CO is binding to haemoglobin, oxygen saturated Hb molecules will be very less. So oxygen saturation will be low. This should give low pulse oximeter value. Please someone solve my doubt

Pulse oximeter is to be preferably kept at RIGHT MIDDLE FINGER, for accurate results

@@sharmanilesh4490 I think coz right is the pre ductal hand and if there is PDA with or without reversal of shunt first the left hand will be affected
