ANA's next-generation flagship B787-10 aircraft for domestic flights takes off for the first time
On March 27, 2024, the B787-10, the next-generation flagship of ANA's domestic fleet, entered service. 429 seats, the second largest number of seats in ANA's current domestic fleet after the B777-300, will be introduced on domestic trunk routes starting with the first flight, NH59 from Haneda to Sapporo (Shin-Chitose), followed by Naha, Kansai, Fukuoka and Itami. Eleven 787-10s have already been ordered for domestic routes, and the plan is to receive them by fiscal 2026.

素人の素朴な疑問なんですが、787の操縦士の免許って、-8.-9.-10も一緒なのかな?
I saw that plane was landed in MNL (Manila) from NRT (Narita) as ANA819/NH819

That's right. Three B787-10s are already flying on international flights. They are also in service to Manila. This is the first domestic flight.

These goes to show that ANA still trusts Boeing significantly. I think the only Airbus in ANA is the A320 and the Flying Honu A380 units...Other than that they are all Boeing. I'm curious to hear though what is their future flight expansion plan and how they plan to replace the aging 767s and 777s. If this is a statement, then it would be with 787s and the 777xs.

@@PhilippinesTravelFan Yes. They are one of the original customers to place orders for the 777x. The first prototype model for the 777x have the logos of the first 10 original customers to place an order painted on its body. You can search this one to verify.
ANA has always provided exceptional service for their customers. I recently flew Japan Airlines and it was a big mistake. They don’t even provide toothbrushes for their flyers even on a long haul trips across the pond. What a mistake I made

There are two aircraft for domestic flights and three for international flights. Eleven 787-10s have been ordered for domestic flights and are scheduled to be received by 2026.
